You couldn't refrain from continuously stealing glances at the clock at work. There was only one more hour until you got out and you felt excitement build up. You adored your job as an FBI Agent but the work was tough and you often found yourself wanting to go out and get drunk. You did this quite often, it helped you focus on things that weren't death related. Your thoughts were quickly disrupted by someone plopping themself onto your desk.

"Hey Y/N. What's up? You seem distracted." You heard the soft voice of your best friend and colleague Spencer. You shifted your gaze to his face. His facial expression held some concern as he said this to you.

"Spence I'm alright. Just can't wait to get out of here. I need time off." you chuckled. Spencer smiled, the concern being wiped out of his expression. You rested your hand on his. You and Spencer weren't a couple but you were very friendly with each other. You couldn't explain why but you didn't mind by any means.

"Are you going out tonight?" Spencer asked, turning to look at Morgan who gave him a quick thumbs up. You hid a smirk. They thought they were sneaky.

"Yeah. Did Morgan send you over here to ask if you, him, Garcia, and Prentiss could come?" you questioned, raising your eyebrow. Spencer grew red and nodded. You couldn't hold back your laugh.

"Spencer you know that I always appreciate company." you added.

"Can I pack a bag and crash at your place when we get back? I don't want to go home. My neighbors are moving so they're loud constantly." he groaned. You smiled and nodded.

"Also how should I dress?" he asked quietly. Spencer never went out and partied so he was nervous.

"It's a club Dr. Reid. Dress up a bit but don't go overkill." he nodded.

"And maybe we can find the Doctor someone. I'll let you have fun in the guest room. You just have to be quiet." you laughed. He shook his head.

"You know I don't like one night stands. Did you know that one in 20 one night stands ends in pregnancy?" Spencer began to ramble. You smiled but listened to him, admiring the way his lips parted and how he used his hands to talk. You loved listening to Spencer's facts. You hated when the others blew him off. He deserved to be heard. And it was humorous. Most times.

About 50 minutes later you were shutting your computer down and grabbing your bag. Spencer met you at your desk and held his hand out, lacing his fingers with yours. This was one of the attributes of your friendship. It wasn't romantic. It was just friendly. You couldn't lie and say you had never thought of Spencer romantically because you did. All the time. But you didn't want to ruin such a good friendship by trying to push a relationship.

You and Spencer got into your car and started your drive. You stopped at Spencer's apartment and he begged and pleaded for you to help him pick an outfit. You accepted defeat after 5 minutes of him begging.

Once inside he went through his clothes. You and him decided on some dressier pants, a purple checkered shirt, and his usual sneakers. It wasn't overkill but it was dressier than what he would wear to the grocery store. Spencer packed his pajamas and then the two of you headed to your place.

Spencer had arrived at the door first, unlocking it with the spare key you gave him. He settled his stuff in the guest room while you took to your room and searched your closet. After 5 minutes you couldn't decide between two dresses.

"Spencer?!" you shouted. He arrived at your door moments later.

"What's up?" he questioned, seating himself on the bed.
