7th String:
Premonitions and Warnings
×Author's POV×
After the revelation, a lot of things changed. People look at Natalie like they're scared. But most of them look at her with a certain admiration. The teachers don't seem to mind that they are teaching a vampire. But of course, William had been suspended. What he did wasn't planned. And even though he kind of helped, no one knew how the students will react. They might have tried to kill Natalie for all they knew, and the teacher's weren't there to protect her 24/7. Her adviser, the one she called Mr. Stick, also told the students to not hurt her, because her family, the Lithieum, were First Class Vampires.
Meaning? They didn't drink from people. Just from animals or from blood packets. They didn't have servants, and they don't kill Hunters if not provoked. Simply put: they weren't war freaks. They want peace between Hunters (Mages, Archers, Warriors, Ninjas), Vampires (First Class, Second Class, Third Class, Rogues), Ghouls (Zombies, Ghosts), Angels (explained in my other story, don't wanna repeat it, sorry), Gods, and Demons. They even threw Rogue vamps into the prison. Anything they do will be for the benefit of every race. Students understood, thankfully. A student even asked if the Sagittarius gets blood from the Lithieum, and earned a glare from Natalie. But it turns out that they don't, which was a relief, because Natalie was close to throwing a dagger at the boy's face.
But those changes weren't the ones preoccupying her. Even if Alex and Armand always cheers her up, jokes every time, gives her blood packets (even though she said no), and even offered to do her assignments, she just wouldn't budge. The whole day yesterday (the revelation), she did nothing but cry and sulk. She didn't know why, but she felt like doing it. She hated crying, but for some reason, it was all she wanted to do. Today, it was 6:59 am, and she was at home, crying again, because they have the day off from school.
They didn't have classes the whole day, and since Alex and Armand didn't want her to waste her time sulking, she was now starting to be irritated because Alex was applying makeup on her face. Blush on, to be exact. Being a vampire has its disadvantages. For example, being extra sensitive to things, like the brush Alex was using. Her cheeks were beginning to itch. But since Alex didn't want her to scratch it, she didn't. But she was certainly getting pissed because of the itchiness.
"Alex, aren't you finished yet?" Natalie groaned.
"Yup, a second."
Natalie rolled her eyes and after a moment, felt the brush move away from her. She fist-pumped in the air, making Alex laugh. "You really wanted it off of your silky smooth skin that bad, huh?"
Natalie grinned at her. "Of course. I couldn't risk wounding my oh-so-perfect skin because it itched and I scratched it too much."
Armand just rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah, thanks to your vampire genes." He was pretending not to care, but inside, he was itching to tell Natalie how beautiful she looked in that miniskirt and that shirt. She looked stunning even if her outfit was simple. Like a supermodel in Hollywood. Beauty Queen, even. But we all know that vampires are not the least bit interested in winning the crown. Especially Natalie. She hated the idea of dresses and makeups. If not for Alex's pleads, she wouldn't want to have makeup put on her face. And, they were taking too long that Armand wanted to doodle just to ease his boredom.
But he had his advantages too. At least he knew more things about Natalie. Like what she normally wears. She told him that she always wore skirts, jeans, and jeggings. She hated leggings, saying that they were itchy to wear. She has a thing for skirts too. For the upper part of the body, she wanted long sleeves and t-shirts. Apparently, she hated even just the thought of tubes and backless shirts. Although she always wanted to wear tank tops. She said they were refreshing and she can move her arms freely.
