Jungkook and I stroll through Seoul Land for our scheduled date. We hold hands as we pass by his fans snapping photos of us. I grow irritated as swarms of people follow us around the amusement park.
"Smile" Jungkook says under his breath when he notices the scowl on my face.
I turn and give him a sarcastic smile. "Happy?"
He drags me over to the Ferris Wheel line and the worker let's us onto the ride as we're the few people standing in the fast pass lane.
"Can't you pretend like you're having a good time?" Jungkook glares at me once we sit in the gondola.
I cross my arm and look away from him.
"Why are you always so angry?"
"How can I not be?" I snap at him. "Ever since you announced to the world that we're dating, my life has turned upside down. I can't go out freely, I can't do what I want when I want to, and I have no privacy at all. My whole life revolves around making sure K-Pop's it boy's image is squeaky clean."
He claps his hand slowly. "Wow. It must be so hard for you to pretend to be someone you're not when your only personality trait is being a bitch and getting high all the time."
It took everything in me not to shove him off of this stupid ferris wheel.
"Yea well you'd be a bitch and get high all the time if you had to put up with the shit that your stupid fans are saying about me!"
Attitude check, I remind myself.
"Sorry. They're not stupid." I mumble.
He doesn't say anything and neither do I. It's silent for the rest of ride.
Once we hop off, Jungkook walks ahead of me. I have to quicken my speed in order to match his long strides.
"She's so ugly" Someone whispers.
"How is she even with him"
"The first girl was prettier."
I blink away the hot tears stinging my eyes and pulled my baseball cap lower. I kept my head low to the ground as I tried to navigate through the crowd. Usually comments don't affect me. I don't really give a shit, but it's different when you're hearing them in real life.
I turn to my side when I notice an arm around my waist. Jungkook holds me close to him as he leads us out to the car. He holds the door open for me as I quickly get in. I try to wipe my eyes before he could get into the car.
I stare out the window, away from him, and hear him start the engine.
"Where are we going?" I ask when I realize we were going the opposite direction of home.
"Somewhere."
Thirty minutes later, Jungkook pulls over to the side of the road and I immediately recognize the place. We used to come here whenever Jungkook needed a break from being a trainee.
"Catch me if you can." I squeal, running away from Jungkook who chases after me.
I stop running and turn around when I don't hear his footsteps behind me.
"Jungkook?" I call out worriedly. I whip around to the front and my face comes into contact with a chest. His fingers attack my sides and I let out a loud laugh, squirming as he tickles me.
He throws me over his shoulder and carries me back to the picnic blanket that we had laid out and places me down. He lies down, closing his eyes, with his arm bend behind his neck as a pillow. I lay down beside him and place myself on his chest.
I plant a small kiss on his cheek. "What are you thinking about?"
"I can't wait until we debut. I can finally make money, buy us a big house, get you a large diamond ring, and one day we'll have little babies running around."
I giggled. "Aren't you a little young to be thinking about babies?"
"Maybe, but I'm old enough to know that I want to spend the rest of my life with you."
I frown at the field. The green large land that stretched for miles and miles was a dark brown now. The grass was all dry and yellow.
"What happened?" I frown.
"Come on." Jungkook unbuckled his seatbelt and got out of the car. I followed him onto the field. The dry grass crunching beneath our feet as we walked across it.
"Remember how beautiful this place used to be?" He looks at me.
"It resembles our relationship now doesn't it." I stare at the dead field.
He turns me so that we're facing each other. His hand moves up to my face and caresses it. "This place can be beautiful again with some help. We can just water it. Get it back to where it used to be."
I pull away from his touch, blinking back the tears. "No amount of water can fix it Jungkook."
"I'm not talking about the grass."
"I know." I sigh.
All of our happy memories that I worked so hard to push to the back of my mind started resurfacing. I didn't even realize that tears were streaming down my face until Jungkook started wiping them away.
"Give me a chance. I'll fix this. Just let me in again Jade."
I shake his hand off of me. "How do you fix a broken heart that's been trampled on and abandoned?"
"No matter how much pain you were in, I was equally suffering. My decision ate away at me everyday."
I look away from him. Maybe if I avoid his sorrowful eyes it would be a lot easier to push him away and continue to villainize him.
"Everyday I've thought about you. There wasn't a day when I didn't. I prayed for the day when I could hold you in my arms again, look you in the eyes, and tell you that I've missed you. I'm still with you Jade even though it might not have seem like it."
He brings his lips down to mine. "I'm still with you." He whispers.
