~C9 - Meeting the Family~

~ELENA' S POV~

Waking up in the morning, I only had one thing on my mind and that was my sudden hatred for the mysterious purple haired girl who theatened me.

Getting up I decided to call Caroline and Bonnie to meet me at the Salvatore boarding house and also told Jeremy to get ready  as I wanted to tell them about my encounter with Angelina and Esther.

Start my day, l did my morning routine before sitting on my bed to write in my journal.

Dear Journal,

   Just another day coping with all the supernaturals here in Mystic Falls. I enjoyed myself at the ball Esther kept last night and Stefan even came. Lately he has been acting strange, I think it's because he's finally adjusting to getting his freedom back from Klaus but I know he'll get better eventually.

Then there's Damon, I know I shouldn't but I couldn't help it during the summer. I started to like him and we even kissed but, I can't let these feelings stop me from being with the one I love, who is Stefan.

I haven't even told Caroline because she can't keep her mouth shut. I mean, we are friends and all but she is a gossip and don't let me start about her feelings for Klaus. I mean, I would support her with whoever she wants to be with but not the man who killed Aunt Jenna and me. Plus he wants to use my blood to make his hybrids.

Sigh I feel sorry for Tyler I know he's sired to the psychopath but still he can be a good kid if he tried. Then there's our resident witch and my other best friend Bonnie. I don't know what she's been hiding but she looks so sad.

Maybe it's because she's trying to reconnect with her mom or something but I don't like seeing her like that. I know sometimes I can be a bitch but I truly care about my family and even though I failed to protect aunt Jenna, I won't let anyone else die for my sake.

After taking a few minutes to think, I was suddenly brought out of my thoughts by a knock.

*KNOCK* 

*KNOCK*

I got up and saw Jeremy standing at my door.

"You ready Lena?"

I nodded and closed my door as we started heading to the boarding house.

~THIRD PERSON POV~

A very confused Damon was now sitting in the living room of his house thinking about the events that happened at the ball.

While thinking his brother entered and asked," Thinking about our mysterious mate?" as he took the glass from his brother and took a sip.

Letting out a frustrated groan Damon leaned back into his seat and started stroking his hair.

"I just don't get it," said Damon as he took another sip of his burbon.

"What don't you get brother?" asked the younger Salvatore as he took a seat beside his brother.

"You saw as well she looked miserable, she was crying for God sakes  then ten minutes later she shows looking happy and introduces herself as Esther's niece," ranted Damon.
