I passed out in the middle of the alleyway, my body being both starving and exhausted. Such a slumber that I only awoke after a crack of lightning, which made me jump up. Just in time too, since I heard synced boot steps coming down the alley, a bend keeping us apart. Glancing about, I finally saw a small city shed. The small thing looked like it would be able to barely hide me on its sides, if its doors were padlocked which they were as I found out as i went over there.

I sat down in a fetal position right where the fence butted up against the shed. The waist high fence seemed to do the trick as the two patrol men marched on by, finding nothing of too much importance and not actively looking for trouble by the looks. "Not that I will complain about it too much though" I thought to myself.

I got up after I heard the marching go out of range, casually walking in the opposite direction, finding much of the place to be odd to me, everything seemed to be set before the science of electricity was understood, much less the more general sciences, a few dilapidated buildings of this city showed odd construction methods.

I kept on looking about, trying not to look too much like a tourist of some sort, only taking glimpses of peoples faces, seeing the expressions which they wore, "This isnt a good place to live, by the current looks of it" I thought to myself, looking at the calmed city, only a few notes of my first experience of this city instead of the full orchestra that it was.
