This is Percabeth!
Daniel's POV:
I brushed my hair and checked my reflection in the mirror. I walked out of my room and into the kitchen. I took a toast of bread and drank my coffee.
"Hey Dan. Sit and have some breakfast." My mom smiled at me.
"Sorry mom. I'm late for work. Got to go." I waved my mom bye and took my car keys. I juggled them in my hands and they slipped. Oops.
"Kids these days." I heard my mom mutter as she cleared the dining table. I opened the car door and sat down. Just another boring day of work.
'Young volcanoes by Fall out Boy' came on the radio. I increased the volume and hummed to the lyrics.
When Rome's in ruins
We are the lions
Free of the coliseums
In poisoned places
We are anti-venom
We're the beginning of the end
Tonight
The foxes hunt the hounds
It's all over now
Before it has begun
And we've already wonI checked my reflection in the review mirror and grinned. Today I will be proposing to Annabeth Jackson, the CEO of Olympian Architecture.
This song was my favorite. Because as usual, I had already won.
I would propose to Annabeth, and she would happily say yes. Annabeth would be my wife, I would become the CEO of Olympian Architecture (Which I would be naming Dan Architecture) and we will have two children named Avery and Noah.
I smiled. Today I would become the CEO of Olympian Architecture.
***Time skip because I'm too lazy***
I worked on my laptop, typing quickly. I finished the graph and emailed it to Annabeth, my soon-to-be-wife.
A small boy walked past my cubicle and into Annabeth's office. I frowned slightly. What's a child doing in the building? And that too, when I was about to propose to Annabeth? Humph.. whatever.
The child walked out a few minutes later and walked to a blonde boy around the age of 10. The boy held that hand of the 6 year old and tugged on his hand.
I walked to Annabeth's office and knocked once. I heard the clatter of glass falling onto the ground.
"Give me a second." I heard Annabeth call out. I tapped my foot, waiting impatiently. After about 5 minutes Annabeth opened the door.
Her were a little ruffled and her clothes looked wrinkly. There was something like a hickey on her neck. Could it be...? No. Don't think like that Daniel.
"Hi Daniel." Annabeth said a little breathlessly.
"Hey. I uh.. wanted to discuss Mr. Carson's build." I said to Annabeth. That was only half the reason why I was here. Wink, wink.
"Yeah sure. Come in." Annabeth opened the door a little wider.
A man was sitting inside. He had black hair and sea-green eyes. There was a smile on his face and his eyes were twinkling.
"Percy, I think it would be better if you leave. Thank you for your report." Annabeth said professionally. Humor danced in her grey eyes.
The man called Percy said, "Yes ma'am." He walked out of the room and winked at Annabeth. My soon-to-be-wife frowned. Ah-ha! She didn't like this Percy.
"Yes so Mr. Phillips. How is Mr. Carson's build coming along?" Annabeth asked turning towards me.
"Ms. Annabeth, the build is coming along great. I have sent you the blueprints...." We discussed work for a little longer.
"Annabeth? Can I ask you something?" I asked her.
Annie hesitated, "Okay."
I got down on one knee and looked at her. Suddenly the door opened and I heard Percy's voice.
"Is the mortal-" Percy stopped when he looked at me.
"Wise girl? What's he doing?" Percy looked at me with his eyes swirling.
"I don't know Percy. He wanted to ask me something." Annabeth replied.
"Annabeth Chase, will you marry me?" I took a deep breath and asked.
Percy looked at me with anger in his eyes. He started to say something but Annabeth walked to the door and put a hand on Percy's shoulder. It made me jealous. Why can't she touch me like that?
"No Daniel. And it's Annabeth Jackson now." Annabeth said.
"WHAT? You're married? To whom? How can you just refuse me like that?" I asked Annabeth.
"To Percy." Annabeth replied simply.
"Dump that loser! He doesn't love you like I do. He probably sleeps with another girl every night!" I shouted.
Percy howled in fury. He charged towards me. Annabeth tried to grab his hand but Percy was quicker. He picked me from my collar.
"NEVER. INSULT. MY. LOVE. FOR. ANNABETH!" Percy punched in my stomach at every word.
"PERCY! STOP!" Annabeth grabbed Percy and pulled him away from me. She had tears in her eyes.
"No-not again. Y-you l-looked like-like w-when you stood at-at t-the e-end of c-chaos." Annabeth hugged him and sobbed into his T-shirt. Percy rubbed a soothing hand on her back. When Annabeth stopped sobbing he pulled away and planted a kiss on her forehead.
He turned to me and spat, "Just before you came in here Annabeth and I had been sharing a moment. Those children you saw? They're ours. We have 3 children and have been married since 11 years. How could you propose to a woman older than you?"
I looked at the ground, ashamed. Percy continued, "Annabeth is 5 years older than you and married. Yet, you selfish mortal proposed to her. I swear on the river Styx-"
Annabeth interrupted him, "Percy. Think twice before you promise anything."
Percy nodded and frowned at me.
Annabeth turned to me, "You're fired, Daniel."
"Annabeth, I'm so sorry. I really liked you and didn't bother checking that you were married or not. Please don't fire me. My dad passed away 8 years ago and my mother would not be able to hold on if I had no salary. No company would take me. Please Annabeth. I wouldn't make this mistake again." I was nearly in tears.
Annabeth sighed and turned to Percy. He said, "I guess we can keep him if he doesn't make a move on you again."
I sighed in relief, "I won't! I promise!"
Annabeth kissed Percy.
"I love you Seaweed brain." she murmured in his mouth.
"Love you too, Wise girl." Percy murmured back. Annabeth put her hand in his hair and Percy put his hand on her waist.
Looking at them, I realized how much in love they were. If only someone would love me the way they loved each other.
I passed out. Percy was quite strong. 6 punches from him hurt like hell.
The last thing I heard was Annabeth laughing as I hit the ground. Percy laughed alongside her. They both probably started kissing again.
That's how I met Percabeth.
