"BoJack! I want you to meet a friend" Todd says, gesturing to me.
I'm in BoJack's house, everything seems awfully displaced and it looks like no one does any cleaning around here. I suddenly have an urge to clean his entire living room area.
BoJack waves from the couch where he is eating pizza and watching an episode from his show. Todd whispers to me that he 'does that often' and shrugs. It's kind of interesting seeing a celebrity so up close and in their natural environment and no that is not a reference to the fact that he is a horse. He's not entirely a horse, though, he's mostly man than horse I'd say. I go on to the balcony as I hear the sitcom laugh tracks in the background and the distant city noises below us.
This balcony is mostly empty, this house is mostly empty; it seems fitting for a lonesome celebrity star who lives with some 20-year-old. I'm not here to be poetic, I'm here because Todd wanted to show me his latest idea and also because I wanted to see the infamous Mr. Horseman. He was very good-looking in his 20's and now it's been 30 years later and he's grayed, he looks worn out.
Todd calls out that he forgot something and he's going on a quick run to go get it and then the door shuts. Great, now I'm alone with the horse in his lavish home/mansion. I peer down over the balcony onto the rocks below and gaze at the city over the horizon. BoJack gets up from the couch and walks over to the kitchen, putting a hand on his back and complaining under his breath. I don't peel my eyes away from him as he pours himself a drink and I step back into the cool, air-conditioned room. BoJack gives me a look over his shoulder and then sighs, taking a gulp from his drink.
"So, what do you want? An autograph? A picture? Words of affirmation your father could never give you ?" I look around and try to laugh at what I assume is his version of a joke. As hot as he is, he's kind of an asshole.
"None of those, Mr. Horseman. I'm just here because Todd wanted to show me something and now... he's gone. I'm so sorry to have interrupted you, I can wait outside" I start heading towards the door when he sighs again and puts his legs on top of the living room table.
"That's fine, kid. You can stay here I suppose. You're not getting my booze, though." I laugh awkwardly again and take a seat on the couch a couple of feet away from Bo. He reeks of booze and tobacco and he's trying to stay awake to watch his sitcom. The kids on the screen really like the young horse who served as a father figure to them for many years. "Those were the days, huh?" I hear from my right, looks like BoJack is reminiscing on his younger years. "Yeah, you were- are- really good Mr. Horseman" I reply. I hope he didn't catch my slip-up, I genuinely think he's still good. That sitcom acting is nothing compared to what he's done now. He's a real actor, not just some good-looking 20 something that can recite lines while coked up. "They always tell you that those aren't the best years of your life, that you have 'big things coming' but that's all bullshit" he complains as he takes a swig from a bottle. I wonder how much he needs to drink to get drunk since he's a horse y'know? How does his anatomy work? "Have I wasted my life thinking I can get back what I had on Horsin' Around?" BoJack starts to look off onto the scenery, off to the Hollywoo sign and he looks gray, distant. I scoot over to his side of the couch and try to comfort him in the only way that I can, through physical touch. He doesn't respond to my hand on his mane so I rub it along the back of his neck, feeling the coarse hair and wondering if he ever brushes it. The laugh track plays and BoJack snaps out of whatever he was doing. His eyes shift their gaze towards the TV screen and then towards anything but mine. He gets up with an "I'm gonna get some more booze, can't remember any of this shit."
I get a ping from my phone and see BoJack's ears shift in response to the sound. I put it on silent and check who texted me; it's Todd. Cool, now that he's going to be late I get to spend more time with BoJack even though he probably doesn't want me here in the first place. I should probably just go back home, this was a mistake. Ah, shit. Todd brought me here and I have no way of leaving. He's coming back from the kitchen and I can see the hairs on his torso, sprouting confidently from his chest. His beer belly is the best part about him not caring about his appearances in front of a guest. That and the imprint of his dick through his boxers; the same boxers that have an apple print pattern, because he's a horse. I try not to stare at him because it would be rude but I can't seem to get my eyes off him. He scratches the top of his nose and looks at me from the side. My heart starts beating rapidly and I am having trouble breathing. He looked at me, he knows I was looking at him. He's going to tell me to fuck off and get the fuck out of his house, oh god I ruined it.
