Watching Starla, Stripes and Darington laugh and play with Blaze hurt more than he made it to be.
He had remembered a time, somewhere in the past, where they had all been friends. They weren't racers yet, just a bunch of kids with big dreams. They were very close, the group of kids that no one would mess with because they were strong together.
It was during teen hood when their friendship broke apart.
Zeg has arrived in the city, and he labeled the dino truck a monster because of fear. They never forgave him for it and left him behind.
Only Pickle stayed by his side.
But even then, he still was hurt.
Then the rest came crashing down. Blaze's arrival made things worse. As did Watts's.
His actions towards them made his old friends hate him more. They left him out, doubted him, suspected him for many things.
Darington was the only other one who didn't take things so far. There were even times when it was only the three of them hanging out.
Pickle with ADHD.
Darington with Depression.
And him with PTSD.
They were each other's therapists, after all.
But soon, Darington slipped away and was hanging out with the Blazing Team more and more. Pickle was beginning to slip away too, getting close to Blaze, which left him behind.
Again.
He was always left behind.
Always.
He tried to act like he didn't care. He tried, really, but every time he saw them, everything broke inside of him.
His voice.
His mind.
And his heart.
Each of them could never be repaired so easily.
