Another day, another race. He couldn't stand his rival no more.

Blaze was always the star. He and AJ were the heroes, taking the spotlight every time they raced or at least drove around. They were the athletes, the protagonists, the goody-goodies, the Mary Sues...

Of course, Blaze couldn't have been the hero without a villain to give him a push. After all, if there are no villains, there are no heroes.

This is what bothered him. To Axle City, Blaze was the hero, and HE was the Anti. The villain, the cheater.

But has it every occurred to them that HE was the reason they had a hero in the first place?

No, it never did. And no, he didn't care.

He shouldn't care.

He can't.

But...

He does.

He DOES care.

And it hurt when everyone else doesn't.

To them, he was no more than the anti-hero that always opposed their hero, the one who was better off losing the races and struggling through life. To them, he was a loser, a loser that never deserved anything.

And they were probably right.

That was the role he chose. That was the role he had taken in.

The Anti-Hero.

The Cheater.

The Villain.

The Criminal.

No matter how much it hurt, that was his role.

But in reality, he was nothing but the victim.

A victim of their insults.

A victim of Blaze's abilities.

And a victim of his own hate.
