Friends? None.
Family? None.
And watching Blaze and his family hang out and laugh was no help.
He couldn't even remember a time in his childhood where he was happy with any of his family members, apart from his Grammy.
His mother Krisha was a business truck and a secret drug dealer. His father Calvin was a governor and a corrupt politician. They both hated him and abused him.
His eldest brother Glacier was an assassin, as was his eldest sister Dynama. They both hated just as much as their parents.
He had no idea why his family hated him to the point where they were ready to kill him in every opportunity they could. They always said that he was unwanted and that him existing was the reason that they hated him.
As if he ever wanted to exist.
Especially to a family like them.
Only Grammy seemed to care about him. She took him in at the age of 6 and nurtured him as he grew.
Despite the efforts, the abuse was still there, and so was the trauma.
Despite the efforts, their words of hate still echoed through his head.
Through his ears.
Though his heart.
"You're a pest!"
"You're unwanted!"
"I wish you never existed!"
"You should kill yourself before WE do!"
Those words echoed through him every day and every night. He could barely sleep every night, hearing the voices in his head and causing him to break down.
Each insult was a wound.
Each word was pain.
But he didn't dare show the pain.
He swallowed it in and drove through life, as if nothing had affected him.
And he will keep doing so until the time comes.
