It's official. Every single adult at this school hates me.

"Harry, please," Dumbledore pleads. "I promise, he won't be able to hurt you. Severus, Rubeus, and I will all be there."

"Why would Hagrid be there?"

"Emotional support," he replies. "I know you're very close with him, and that way someone would be there with you the entire time." He passes me the candy jar he keeps in his office. I take the jar, but don't take any candy. It just sits on my lap. "I won't be able to be there except for when I myself testify, and I know you are not very fond of Severus quite yet, so maybe having Rubeus there could help make it a bit easier."

I have to think about it for a moment. On one hand, he'd be in prison. Probably. And he wouldn't be able to hurt me anymore. But on the other, I have to tell a ton of people what he did. He said he'd kill me if I told anybody, what if he tries to there?"

"I... As long as Hagrid's there... But what if he tries to hurt me there? He-He said not to tell anybody! He said I wasn't allowed to!!"

"Harry-"

"I've broke so many of the rules, what if he-"

"You're forgetting that we have wands and he doesn't? And that Rubeus would never let anything happen to you?"

"Well, yeah... I didn't think of that."

I... I guess... I don't want to, but they'll just keep asking and asking and what if they get mad at me for saying no over and over again and what if I become a burden and a pain...?

"I guess so...?"

He claps his hands together. "Harry, that's wonderful!"

"And Hagrid'll be there with be the whole entire time? And..." I guess maybe I do want him there. "And Severus?"

"Every second of it." He starts jotting down a couple things. "I suppose we should get an Auror down here, get him arrested, along with your aunt. You'll have to tell them a few things, but it should be very quick-"

"Wait, Aunt Petunia's being..."

"Of course she is. She abused you and neglected you as well. Why?"

"Where's Dudley goin'?"

"To his Aunt Marge's, most likely."

"He shouldn' go there," I mumble. "She's jus' like them." I don't really know why I even care. Dudley beat me up all the time. Maybe I just don't want him to turn into Vernon.

"Like your aunt and uncle, you mean?"

"Mmm-hmm."

"He'll most likely go with another relative then, or foster care if that is truly the only option left. I highly doubt that, though."

"Okay."

"Right. I'll contact some Aurors, and we'll start straight away tomorrow. Why don't you go do whatever you'd like. Sleep, be with your friends, go be with someone who cares about you."

"Okay, sir." I take a chocolate frog and hand him the jar back. "Thanks for the frog."

"Quite welcome." I stand from my chair and start walking when he says, "And HArry?"

"Yes, sir?"

"Well, two things. One, it's Albus when we have our private conversations. Two, if any of this gets to be too much for you, let me know. We can pause this. We can and will go slower if you need us to."

"Okay."

I'll be fine. Really. Hagrid'll be there. I'll be okay. Right? I hope so. I really hope so. I mean, what if I'm not?
