This one is a bit different than some of the other stories/poems. It's an extra short story. Hope you enjoy it!

Imagine you are falling. Falling in an empty darkness. Nothing left, not even memories. You have no idea how you got here. You don't even know your name. You know nothing except the black lonely void around you. No sense of time. Just emptiness.
Suddenly you feel...something, joy? It's rooted deep in your soul; the sudden realization drawing in your mind. The hope you get from it, like all feeling and knowledge has returned. Than you lose it. Again, your left will infinite sadness and maybe a few bad memories swirling in your mind.
You have so many questions that need answering, but you have little answers. You did something... but can't remember. It was bad, but not the worst thing you could do. Curiosity claims your mind. What was it? Did someone get hurt? The knowledge that at once you knew everything about yourself, tears and your soul. You must have had a family. Friends?
Still falling in a desperately lonely void you are alone. Not knowing what else to do, you slowly close your eyes and let the deep cloak of darkness engulf you. All that is left is a faint taste of a distant life. Now it's nothing but you and a dark, twisted forest of lies.
Dim lights shine in a dark, dusty room. In one corner their is a small bed below a moonlit window. Sounds echo outside; something akin to a scream and the silent steps of something creeping. A creaking door opens, opposite from the bed, nothing seems to enter but air. The once quite steps seem louder now almost as if they are right in front of the bed. Something shifts in the dark. Almost like something stirred the dust. It looks as if the walls themselves are shifting and quickly turning back. Anxious feet scramble on top of the bed where someone, curled up tight in a thin decaying blanket, was once sleeping. Their thoughts still turning with an empty dream.
The air nearby shifts. Someone, no, something crawls in the dark. It faceless body and many slender limbs blend easily with the old, grey walls. It reaches in the dark.
Far away another sound can be heard. Sending chills downs the spine, a blood-curdling scream reverberates off the cold stone walls. Then a suddenly as it started it stopped, leaving nothing but empty silence.
