Edgar pov.
Every one here at the Cafe had their jobs and roles. I was mainly in charge of keeping track of the music playing and take care of the cats.  I have a station dedicated for me painting. I'll help take orders sometimes but I'm not the best at sounding happy and enthusiastic so I typically just help out randomly and clean. Everyone here is happy with our job and other workers. Usually when I'm needed to help out it's with Luca Balsa. To be honest I've taken a liking to him. We've hung out a few times out side of work. He's really nice to be around. I enjoy his company. Today the cafe was a bit busy. I was currently painting but I'm assuming I'll be asked to help soon. I was about half way through my painting when Fiona walked up to me.

" Hey Edgar, we need help serving customers and taking orders. Can you help Luca?". She asked. I nodded and put the paint brush in my mouth walking over to him.

"Good evening Balsa. I'm here to help." I said tapping his shoulder.

" Oh yeah. Can you take these to that table over there." He said pointing to a table that had 2 kids and what I assumed were their parents.

" Okay." I said grabbing the tray and walking over there. I set down their food passing it out to each individual.

" Enjoy your meal." I said with a very small smile. As I was walking back I heard one of the kids talking.

" She's really pretty. She looks mad though. Also mommy do you know why she has a paint brush with them and why she looks mad?"

" Well I think she's the artist that usually paints over there. I'm not sure why she's mad. Maybe they're just not having a good day."

It's very uncomfortable hearing these things. Every one always assumed I'm a girl. I look mad because I have a resting bitch face and I'm horrible at Expressing Emotions.... I walked back to Luca waiting for him to tell me whatever else he needed help with.

" Hey, so I'm on break now. Do you want to hangout for a bit?" He asked. I was a little surprised but agreed anyway.
We sat at a table by my art station and talked.
" You know. You're really cute when you smile. You should do it more." He said. I blushed slightly.
" Oh what ever. Shut up. Your smile is much better than mine."
" You're so cute! Just accept the compliment dummy."
" No! I will kick your face if you keep doing that!" I said trying to sound threatening blushing more.
" Edgar.... You're 5'3 and I'm 5'8. You can't do anything." Luca said laughing slightly.
" I can kick you knees!" I said standing up.
With that Luca stood up and picked me up and he was giving me a piggy back ride.
" Hey! Put me down!!"
" Look you're tall now!" He was teasing me way too much. This is so embarrassing.
" Fine but you have can't put me down until I'm ready."
" Deal. You're not that heavy anyway."
" Shut up!" I put the paint brush back in my mouth and Luca started walking around with me. I'm sure there were people staring and laughing at us but I was enjoying this while I can. I could hear the little girl again while Luca walked around.
" She looks happy now! Do you think that's her boyfriend or something mom? He's tall too. She looks like she's having fun."

"Eddie did you hear that?" Luca asked.
" Yeah... I did." I said not really sure on how to feel about it. Truth be told I really like Luca. I would willingly date him but I don't know if he likes me in return.
Luca walked back to our table after I we got a glass of water. He set me down and I sat back down in the chair. I crossed my legs and twirled my hair not knowing how to make conversation.
" Hey Eddie. Can I tell you something?"
"Yes. Of course. What is it?"
"Umm well to be honest I've liked you for a while now and I don't know if you like me in return but I thought I would at least tell you." He said all of it kind of rushed but I understood him.
" Luca I like you too." I said blushing slightly.
" Wait really?"
"Of course idiot. You're one of the only people I enjoy being around. I love they way you make me feel."
"Yay!! He get up and started peppering my face with kisses."
"LuLu stop! We're in public!"
"Awee do you not like kisses?"
"No! I just. Shut up!" I said kissing him on the cheek And walking to my painting to finish it.

Aaaaah kinda short lol. Also I don't proof read very well so I apologize for any spelling and grammar errors. Lol. Btw I'm doing requests so if you want to comment some go ahead. :3
