•Zaya Brown•
She was calmly looking out the window just thinking about yesterday. It wasn't so bad and she smiled. A first real smile in months maybe almost a year."I love you, mom." She said loud enough for her mom to hear. Her mom instantly smiled. "I love you too honey."
"But Zaya doesn't get attached to this place we don't know if it's permanent..." she said I nodded. "I miss the times you were talking you're-" mom started. Zaya started shaking her head "no" harshly. As if there was something a memory she didn't want to remember.
"I know it's hard but you have to talk some more honey." Mom said. Zaya started shaking her head "no" harshly again and her mom knew she must have triggered something in her head. Zaya looking out the window fell a tear.
"I'm sorry honey." The car ride was silent for the rest of the ride back. Once they got back home. Zaya helped out with fixing up some stuff and went straight to her room. She took her guitar and started playing it seems like playing the guitar was the only thing that seemed to calm her down.
She was playing a song that seemed to spark some type of emotion in her and started crying badly. Not loud enough to hear but we could see it.
As she stood up to close her curtains she saw the guy she talked to earlier Zhaye trying to wave at her and writing "are you ok?" She shakes her head "yes" wiping the tears. "Are you?" she wrote back and he nodded. "What song were you playing," he wrote. "Nothing special just practicing," she wrote back.
"I bet it sounded great," he wrote. Zaya had a passion for playing the guitar and singing but never did it in public. "I'm not the best at it but I try.." she wrote back. "is it ok for me to ask why we're you crying," he wrote on another page trying to help. He didn't know what to do in these types of situations but he was trying.
He gave a half-smile. "It's ok you don't have to worry about me," she wrote. "It was just a little emotional moment," she wrote on another page. Giving a fake half-smile to show that she was all better. "Alright.. so where did you move from," He asked. "Belgium," she wrote back. He smiled showing his perfect white teeth. "That's cool I never got to leave California but I always wanted to travel around."
She slightly smiled "Belgium is a great place to start." She wrote giving him a slight smile. "Maybe you can show me around someday." "I have to help my mom I don't think that would be possible." She wrote on another page. "Well that's sad..." he wrote. "You only know my name," she wrote to him. "And" "You sound like a nice person that wouldn't even hurt a fly" he added.
She slightly smiled again and wrote. "You sound like a funny guy to be around." "You don't even know half of it" "I've got to go talk to you sometime later." Zhaye wrote and they both waved and he left.
So then I closed my curtains and I went to get myself some snacks downstairs and ate them in my room. I turned on my computer and connected my AirPods and soon started watching movies on Netflix and YouTube for the rest of the night until I got tired and fell asleep.

"So started talking to the girl," Alexander asked. "Yes," he replied "Got her number," he asked "Actually no I did not" Zhaye replied. "Then how are you talking to her," Alexander asked. "Zhaye you are talking to another girl.. again. You just got out of a relationship." His mom walked in and interrupted them.
"She is just a friend" I replied. "Mhm." She replied and went back to the living room. "So how are you talking to her now.." "letters sort of we use a notebook to talk to each other like passing notes but through a window, so I can see it and she can," I said trying to not make a sound complicated. He looked at me like my head went crazy but just nodded.
So I got some snacks and went back to my room to find Zaya's curtains closed so I closed mine and ate my snacks while watching a movie and fell asleep later on.
