Zhaye Andrews•

"Uh huh later.." She said leaving the house and I started fixing up. What the fuck is going on? I asked myself. Then someone opened the door. "Hey Zhaye how are you doing?" My mom came in. "Good and how was your trip?"

"It was really good! Is your brother still at his friends house?" "Yea he is." "Oh ok did you invite some friends over or were you alone." That's when the scene of Zaya and I on the ground popped up into my mind.

My body started heating up. "No I was myself." I said keeping my cool. "You sure?" "Yea yea I was alone." I swallowed. "Well do you know that Emilia has a daughter you should meet her."

"Emilia?" "Oh yes Emilia is the the lady next door. The neighbor we are good friends. At least I don't feel lonely in this neighborhood anymore and plus the girl is nice and pretty too." "Mom don't." "Ok ok I won't her name is Zaya. Isn't that a beautiful nice." "Yea it is." I replied honestly.

Did I just think that? I mean the name is pretty nice. "I think you both go to the same school." "Could you describe her?" "Average height for a girl, black curly hair, dark hazel eyes, brown skinned over all a very pretty girl."

She exactly described her. Yea she is a very pretty girl. But that's besides the point we are good friends that's it. "I think I have saw her around."

"You both should be friends." "Mhm" "oh and we are going over to her house tomorrow night for dinner. Dress decently and also I'm asking to be friends not hit on her get it." She said in a serious tone on the last part of her sentence.

I nodded. "Get it?" She repeated. "Yes ma'am." I replied. "Can you help me get some groceries later on today?" "Sure why not."

After getting the groceries and fixing them. The only thing in my head was what happened this morning with Zaya.

Zaya Brown•

After coming home from Zhaye's place I was.. what is the right word to say.. surprised. Yea surprise sound like the best word to fit how I'm feeling right now. That's the most unholy thing I have ever done in my entire life.

And I mean it. Seriously I don't even cuss. Like how did a simple pillow fight end up to this? The way his brown eyes were staring into mine was.. uh felt good I guess.

I don't even know how I felt under his gaze. Let's just hope it doesn't affect our friendship and keep on with the it's going. I am really trying not to get attached to Zhaye but it's hard not to.

I hope it won't be hard once I have to move again. To another place somewhere else far away from. Who am I kidding. No cares about me a part from my mom of course. He won't even notice if I left. He would move on and find another neighbor.

Possibly better than me. Someone could possibly sing better than me and sing him to bed. I got to stop with these thoughts. With that the door knob twists open and to see my mom.

I went and gave her a hug. I try speaking more now especially with my mom. "Hello mom how was your trip." "It was really fun and exciting. I really enjoyed it. I hope you didn't feel lonely at home."

"No no mom you needed to time to have your fun and you deserve it." I said giving her a smile. "Did you know Alexandra has 2 sons? One of them is actually your age." "Really who?" "His name is Zhaye."

"He seems like a nice boys the both of you should meet. They are exactly coming here tomorrow night for dinner." All sort of air left my body and came back. It wasn't anything special. I was just surprised.

"So we are going to welcome them and maybe you could be friends." "Yea that sounds like a great idea." "Don't you think." "But you know the drill." "Yes mom." "Come let's bake something." That brought a smile to my face and quickly entered the kitchen and we started baking.
