chapter eight

Brian Johnson's POV
I have been on my laptop trying to study but I keep zoning out.Thirty minutes has gone by, but I haven't done any assignments.For the past two days since I met this girl I haven't been myself.

All my thoughts are just about her,I keep seeing her every where even in my dreams when I sleep.The first day we met she bumped into my bicycle that she nearly fell down  because she was busy with her phone.I held her by the waist quickly so she couldn't fall down.

I wanted to scold her at that moment for being careless on the road but I couldn't.
Her beauty captivated me,her touch also made me senseless.She hold onto my shirt firmly for support,the thought of that made smile.

When she regained her balance,she tucked the hair that was all over her face behind her ears.I thought maybe she wanted to see me,and I wasn't wrong about. I didn't let go of my hand that was on her waist.

We were inches close to one another,we both stared at each other for long without a word.I noticed how pretty she  was,her eyes were white and the Iris were brown.She had long curly black hair and pink lips.

I could tell from the way she saw me she was studying  me.I enjoyed the moment while it lasted until her phone rang that we came back to our senses.She quickly picked her phone from the ground and answered it.She then left quickly after mouthing a "thank you"I couldn't even get her name.

Believe me when I say that I prayed to meet her again.She became my distraction in a good way.I have been in many relationships before but it never lasted due to lack of love .But for her,I think am falling in love.Am also attracted to her because of her beauty,I bet she makes men go wild and crazy whenever they see her.

I felt thirsty and there was no more water in my room,I headed to the kitchen to get myself a glass.I found my nanny Cynthia with a basket in hand.I knew then she was about to head out.

"Nanny are you heading out?"I still asked the obvious.

"Yes my boy,am going to the market."She informed me.I wondered how she will get to the market because my mum and dad's car was not available and the rest of the other cars in the compound needed repair.

"Nanny let me go to the market on your behalf."I offered to help her because I had a bicycle.I knew if my mum was here she wouldn't let me go, because she believes it's not my work.I knew the long walk would be tiresome for her.Insisted to go because she was afraid mum will find out.

I took my bicycle and headed for the market,I knew my way there because my mum and l have been to the market often.I cycled faster because it was 5:00pm and the market would close soon.I had the list of items for groceries needed and that made it quick and easier for me.

I had bought everything except for tomatoes,I could tell it was scarce in supply because almost every seller in the market did not have.I asked around until I was directed to an old woman and I presumed her granddaughter.The old woman was about my nanny's age and her granddaughter was about my age or even younger than me.

I cycled faster towards them because they were about to wrap up.I was lucky enough to find the tomatoes the girl was wrapping and putting them to a basket.
I tried catching her attention before she would put all of them away.

"Excuse me miss,can I have those tomatoes?"She stood up right and was about to answer me.I was shocked to see her again.I saw the effect I had on her because she was tensed,I kept looking at her until she looked away.

Her grandma attended to me because her granddaughter could not,she pretended to be okay but she wasn't.I was happy to see her again but I couldn't show it.I went away after buying the tomatoes knowing that I would meet her again.
