What's your name?" He asked.
She coughed, then said, "Blake.."
Mason set his rifle and bag down, then pulled out his medical kit and canteen.
"What happened here?" He questioned.
"Looters.." She said quietly.
Looters, hijackers, rogues, they go by different names but mean the same thing. Trails of dead bodies are left in their paths, normally stripped of anything they deemed valuable.
This girl was the one he was sent to find, Blake was her name. He then removed alcohol, bandages, and some painkillers. The bandages were soaked in alcohol, and the painkillers went with the water from his canteen. He handed her the painkillers and canteen. She lifted her cracked mask, then downed the pills and water.
Removing your mask for too long meant radiation sickness, the same if you removed your suit. However, her suit had already been punctured by a bullet, so it mattered little if she removed her mask for a few seconds.
She unzipped the top of her suit, where a bleeding shoulder and a gaping gunshot wound were revealed. The bandages were secured tightly, and Blake gritted her teeth, both from the antiseptic and bandages. She zipped her suit back up while Mason patched the hole from the gunshot.
