The Incident in Raccoon City

Chapter 3

Once the elevator reached the bottom Leon and I exit, heading down the dark stairwell. I never thought a police station would ever have a place like this connected underneath of it. We soon reach a doorway and walk through it, above us was a grated walkway, the light beaming down through it. As we walked along we heard a loud noise above us, something groaning loudly and stumbling along the walkway. I look up to see what it was, I just hoped it was just another survivor. "What was that.." Leon whispered. We continued walking along until we were met with a locker blocking the next doorway we needed to get through. Leon turned to me "Stand back, I'll lift this" He said before turning back and then lifted up the locker with a small grunt, sitting it back against the wall. I raise my eyebrow at him, okay I was quite impressed and I found that really attractive.

Leon walked in and then a huge creature dropped down in front of him. It was some sort of human half monster, it's eye was huge and bulging on his huge mutated arm. "What the-" Leon started to say before the creature grabbed onto him and slams him down hard on the grate. I gasped and pull out my gun and aim it at the monster "What the fuck are you..?!" I yell. The monster slammed Leon down again, I could see the grate was beginning to break, I shoot a bullet at the monster, it barely did anything! The creature slammed Leon against the grate once more before it fell through, down they both went onto the floor below.

I quickly move over and watch the monster grab a huge pipe "Leon! Are you alright?!" I shout. Leon didn't look at me "Stay up there (Y/N)!" He spoke before beginning to shoot at the monster. I grumble "I'm not some girl you need to protect!" I yell before aiming my gun at the monster and start shooting at it.

It seemed like it's eye was something we needed to shoot. It didn't react much when we shot anywhere else. Leon shot it's eye with his shotgun and then it went down and knelt on its knee. Got you now. I aim my gun at the thing's eye and start shooting it. The monster growled and groaned and even spoke a few words. I can make out just one word though "Sherry?" I mutter softly to myself. I watch Leon dodge the creature, I was so tense, worried he would get badly injured. After a while the creature soon finally had enough and stumbled back after Leon shot it's eye and then he falls over the railing, down into the darkness. I sigh loudly in relief "Leon!?" I called out. Leon soon walked over and looked up at me, still above the man on the grate "I'm alright. Are you?" He asked. I nodded in response.

A ladder soon comes down and hits the floor, we both look over in confusion. It was up and someone must have unlocked it and let it down. "Somebody's watching us.." Leon said in an almost quiet tone. He looked back up at me "Are you able to get across?" He asks. "Yeah, I'm a good jumper. I'll meet you by the ladder" I said before I then look over at the hole and the doorway. I then prepared myself before running and I jump over the space and I managed to make it into the room. I then make my way out, seeing Leon making his way up the ladder. He gets up and looks at me and smiles a little "Nice to see you again miss" He chuckled "Come on, let's get out of here. I've had enough of this place" He said. I snort and rolled my eyes in amusement "Likewise" I followed after him, heading over a small bridge and then into another room with a few lockers and a desk.

I lean against the desk and stare at the ground with a small frown on my face. Hopefully this will all be over soon and we can get out of this damn city. I don't know what happened to Austin, I'm hoping he escaped and is waiting for me. "Come on" I heard Leon say and look over at him and nod, following him over to a ladder. "I'll go first, check if it's clear alright" He said before he climbs up the ladder. I watch him, he lifts up the lid of the ladder and peaks his head out and then moves the cover to the side "It's clear" I heard him say before climbing up after him. Once I made it to the top Leon extends his hand to me and I take it. He helped me out of the manhole and I looked around, the parking lot of the police station. I walk over to the closed door and groan "Is there a way to get this open?" I said to Leon. Leon walked over to a parking lot card scanner "Need a key card.." He said. Just then we hear a growl and both our heads quickly turn in the direction of the nose. A dog soon walks out from the shadows, snarling and drooling at us "You gotta be kidding me.." I heard Leon say before the dog quickly speeds over and jumps onto him, knocking him to the ground. Leon held onto the dog's neck, keeping it from biting him "Get off of me!" He grunted in a loud tone.

"Leon!" I quickly grab out my gun but before I could even aim a gunshot goes off, hitting the dog in its neck and knocking it on the ground beside Leon "Hey!" A feminine voice spoke. I turn to the woman and frown "Stay sharp!" She said again. Another gunshot goes off, it still wasn't dead?! Does nothing ever die here!? Leon aimed his gun at the woman after shooting the dog, she came closer to us aiming her gun "Lower it" She said and held up an badge "FBI". I scoff, as if.

Leon lowered his gun "Sorry.. Thank you-" He said before the woman shot the dog once again, hopefully killing it off for good this time "For your help" Leon continued. The woman lowered her gun "I'm surprised you both made it this far" She said before walking off. Leon got up and followed after her "FBI huh? What's going on around here?" He asks "Sorry, that informations classified" She replied. "Where are you going?" Leon asked with a frown. The woman turns around to look at us "Do yourselves a favour. Stop asking questions and get the hell out of here. Especially the girl, this is no place for a civilian" She said and walked off through a door. I glare after her "I don't like her.." I look up at Leon, watching him already walking after her "Leon?!" I run after him "Hey!" I grab his arm and he turned to look at me "Are you really about to follow her?!" I say with a frown.

Leon nods "Yeah, we need to know who she is. Find out what's going on, plus she did save my life" He said and shrugged his arm out of my grip "She is right you know, you shouldn't be here (Y/N). You're a tough girl, I'll give you that but still, you shouldn't be here. It's too dangerous" He said. I glare at him, why does he keep saying this to me?! Have I not fucking proven to him I can take care of myself?! "Fuck you... I can handle this! I'm not gonna go and hide in a corner while you fight these things by yourself! Marvin gave me a gun for a reason, to protect you and myself!" I said in a very annoyed and loud tone, sighing after speaking and looked down at the ground. Leon sighed and lifted my chin up with his finger so I was looking back up him "I know, I didn't forget. Don't think I did, but you are a civilian and it's my duty to help get you and other survivors out of this city. It's my job to protect you" He rests his hand on my shoulder "You're brave (Y/N) I admire that about you, strong too. Especially in a situation like this"

I smiled up at him, I could feel my cheeks heating up a little bit "I know.. Thanks Leon" I say in a soft tone. He smiles back at me, fuck his smile is so cute. Come on (Y/N) knock it off! You have a boyfriend, who could possibly be dead... No! He can't be! Ugh.

Leon takes my hand and then leads me into the jail cells where the woman went, how did she disappear so quickly?! I don't trust her at all, how would the FBI know about what's causing this. Somethings not right.
