The Incident in Raccoon City

Chapter 9

Leon frowns at me, scoffing a little "If he really cared about you he wouldn't have left you alone to fend for yourself like that.. And this Wesker guy, I don't trust him. He must know something. Either way, you're safe and you're alive. I'm glad for that" He smiles at me. I smile back at him, finishing up with his shoulder "Thanks. I've never met Albert before Austin but... I get bad vibes, I'm going to stay far away from him" I put away the med kit "You need to rest Leon, you look exhausted" I tell him.

He sighs at me "I am, it's been one hell of a fucking night, but I agree, stay away from Wesker. I don't want you getting hurt" He then lays down with a groan and his face scrunches "Fucking shoulder still hurts" He sleepily chuckles. I pull up the sheets and tuck him in "It will take a while to heal, besides we didn't have the proper stuff to help treat it, so that definitely didn't help" I stare down at the man's tired face, I still couldn't help but be so worried about him.

Leon hums "Nah, definitely wasn't" He looks back up at me "Y/N, don't give me that look I'll be okay, I have you and Claire and Sherry to protect" He pauses "How's your arm by the way? Did you check it earlier?" He asks. I huff "I don't need protection Leon, you'll end up getting yourself killed one day doing that" I look down at my arm and nod "It's fine, it was only a small scratch" I respond.

Leon smiles in amusement, he nods "Good" Leon was taking long blinks at this point "Sleep Leon, you need it" I tell him, moving the hair from his eyes. Leon grabs my hand and rests it against his chest, holding it there "Fine, only to make you happy tough girl" He strokes my hand with his thumb. Soon he was fast asleep, good, he looked so damn exhausted and pained. I didn't like seeing him like that.

I smile softly, a light blush on my cheek. I lean down and place a gentle kiss to Leon's forehead "Sweet dreams rookie" I quietly snort. I hear a knock and look over and spot Claire. She smiles at me "May I come in?" She asks. I give her a nod.

Claire walks in "Good to see Leon getting some rest. I'm about to head to bed too. Goodbye sleep schedule" She jokes and we both quietly laugh. She then rests her hand on my shoulder "You like him don't you... Actually, loooove him" She quietly giggles. I roll my eyes at the red head girl "Shush Claire!" I whisper. I sigh "I just really care about him. He's such a good guy, risked his life for me and you guys. And another friend, fuck I forgot to ask Leon about her" I groan.

Claire frowns "Who?" She asks but I shake my head "Don't worry" I say. Claire then sits down beside me "It's so clear to me, you love him and he loves you. He was so worried about you back in Raccoon City, scared he failed in protecting you, but he had hope that you were out of the city. And you are! When he saw you again his eyes lit up, he looked so damn happy. Like every bad feeling went away. I've seen my brother look at a girl like that before, he even admitted to being in love with her" Claire gestures to the sleeping man next to us "Stay with him, you should rest here with him. I think he'd love waking up to the girl he has a little crush on" She quietly giggles and gets up "Night Y/N, or.. Morning I guess" She snorts.

I listen to Claire, did I really mean that much to Leon? Of course he means a lot to me. I like him a lot, hell maybe I am in love with him, but I don't think there was even a right time to act onto it. I guess now, according to Claire, would be a good time. I quietly chuckle "Night and morning Claire, sleep well" I say to her before she leaves.

I sigh, I was still tired, I could sleep forever after last night. I then lay down beside Leon, snuggling close to him and soon I was asleep.

It must have been at least a few hours later, I woke up. Leon was still asleep, he was snuggled up close to me. I smile down at him and gently play with his hair. Soon Sherry comes into the room "Y/N, Claire's gone, she left this note though with her email and number on it. She went to go find her brother. Think she'll be okay?" She asks with a worried expression on her face.

I frown and carefully sit up so I don't disturb Leon, I take the note and reading it. Glad Claire left us ways to contact her, wish she gave us a heads up though but I do understand. Her brother is everything to her, Leon told me about it all. I hope she'll be okay "It's okay Sherry, she's strong, she's got this. I bet she'll be back with her brother in no time. Besides, Leon and I will take care of you" I smile at her.

Sherry smiles back and then sighed "Still, I'm going to miss her, I really admire her. She's so brave" She said "But I'm glad for you and Leon, he was so worried about you too. I'm glad I got to meet you!"

I chuckle quietly "Thanks Sherry" I glance back at Leon to see him waking up. He sits up and yawns, rubbing his eyes and looks at me and Sherry. I give him the note and he reads it quietly.

Leon sighs and sits the note aside on the bedside table "At least she left us a way to contact her. Keep it" He looks at Sherry and smiles at her. She smiles back at him and then takes the note "Okay!" She puts in her pocket before leaving "I'll be in my room!" She said to us.

We both chuckle at her "She loves Claire a lot Sherry does. I bet she misses her so much already" Leon said to me. I nod at him "I can tell" I stare at him, staring into his eyes.

Leon lifts his hand to my cheek, caressing my soft skin "I was so worried about you. Especially hearing what that asshole did to you" He softly says.

I lean against his hand "I know you were. I was worried about you, I'm so glad you made it out alive Leon" I lift my hand up to his, taking and holding it.

Leon watches me "I did, we did. We stay together now. I don't wanna lose you again Y/N" He gently squeezes my hand.

I smile at him before gently moving to sit in his lap "You won't" I lean in and press my lips against his, I didn't want to wait any longer. I feel his arms wrap around my waist, holding me close.

(After this fic is done I'm writing one for my mumma Alcina Dimitrescu💕 and maybe one for the daughters as well. This isn't gonna be a super long story bUT I might think about doing a continuation for RE 4. I'm a lazy bISH tho so ILL THINK ABOUT IT)
