Leon and I went running back to the jail cells, of course the garage had to be full of dogs chasing us. Luckily we made it, no harm done. Leon took the lead and heads back down to the cell Ben was in. He inserted the electronic boxes into the power box and fiddled around with it until he managed to get the cell door open.
I watch Leon walk over to examine Ben's corpse and get the key card while I looked around inside the cell. I picked up a note Ben wrote and read it. 'So it's called a tyrant' I thought to myself "Leon that thing we saw. It's after witnesses it's-" I quickly look over at him, he was listening to something. I walk over and knelt down beside him and listened. It was an interview between Ben and some woman, she seemed to be one of Umbrella's workers. I always believed Umbrella to be shady as fuck, but this is unbelievable. Umbrella can't be responsible for this right? They wouldn't fuck up this bad?!
Leon soon finished and puts it away in one of his holster bags and looks at me with a small frown "Have you heard of this big sinkhole that leads to some underground lab?" He asks me. I nodded "I did, it was a rumour" I stand back up. Leon nods his head and stood up beside me "What are they after.." He mutters to himself and leads me out of the jail cell.
A loud alarm goes off and the sound of a bunch of cell doors opening alerts us. Fuck that can't be good... We both run to the hallway and my eyes widen, all the zombies were free from their cells, blocking the hallway "Shit.. Leon?!" I look to him. Leon didn't say anything as he grabbed my hand and ran over to another cell door. He pulled down a lever and it opens, thank god another way out, or so I thought. We turned the corner and that tyrant guy was back. Great of all times he had to show up!
"Gimme a break!" Leon said in a very annoyed and frustrated tone "We gotta make a run for it Y/N" He looks back, the zombies were getting close no way we could go back now. He grunts and as the tyrant got close Leon pulled me around, keeping me close to him. The tyrant threw a punch at us but he luckily missed. Leon and I run out of the jail cell, heading to the parking garage door when the tyrant bursts through the concrete wall. Leon threw me aside and the tyrant grabs him by his throat and lifts him up, choking him.
I yelp as I hit the ground and quickly look over and gasp "Leon!" I see headlights turn on to my right and I look over, a SWAT van. It rams straight into the tyrant, dropping Leon onto the ground, the tyrant was pushed back into the concrete wall. It stopped moving. I quickly got up and run over to Leon who was coughing and gasping for air. I hear the van door slam and look up, Ada.
"Ada?" Leon spoke. "This is getting old" She said, obviously annoyed "Saving your asses that's twice!" She said. I helped Leon get up "Didn't realise we were keeping score" He replied. Ada turns around "Look this isn't a game!" The sound of the van moving and we all turn, this fucker still wasn't dead?!
"Nothing dies down here" Ada said and then grabs out a detonator and blows up the van, hopefully that actually killed him this time. Leon shielded his eyes from the flames and looks over at Ada with a small side smile, he looked impressed, kind of. I frown at the two, crossing my arms across my chest. "I take it you have the key card?" Ada said, looking at Leon.
Leon nods "Yeah and this" He grabs out the tape recorder and tosses it to Ada. Leon you are not smart at all, cute but dumb. "I was hoping you could explain what's on it" He spoke. Ada shrugs her shoulders "Maybe" She paused "After I hear it. Let's get out of here" She said.
Leon nods and he inserts the key card and the garage door opens, thank god finally out of this hellhole! I follow along, I was having my doubts about Ada. "Leon.." I suddenly spoke and he looks at me, putting a hand on my shoulder looking a little concerned "You okay Y/N?" He asked. I stayed quiet for a second before speaking "Yeah just.. Worried she might not be who she says she is, I know this city. I've not seen her before" I softly spoke, I didn't want Ada to hear me. Leon glances at Ada and looks back at me "The city has a lot of people Y/N, you can't know every single person. The FBI must know what's going on, someone must have escaped and got the word out. It's alright Y/N. Trust me I've got this" He gave me a comforting smile.
I sigh "Fine.. If you say so" I say although I wasn't convinced. I still didn't trust her, I met a lot of shady people in my life, I can't be wrong but I hope I am about her and she's really FBI. We all follow along, Leon and Ada still speaking, that tape recorder wasn't what she needed. 'Ben didn't come through' apparently. We reach a gun shop, 'Kendo' and Ada picks the lock and opens the door. What FBI agent carries around a lock pick for?
We walk inside "What a mess" Ada commented. I looked around, Leon was finding some things for his shot gun. I found some ammo for us to have. After a short moment I hear another voice "Don't move!" The voice said. Leon's voice then spoke "I'm not gonna hurt you" He calmly said "I said don't move!".
I walk over to Leon and freeze, a man had a shotgun to his head. I stay quiet. "I'm just passing through, I'm going to ask you to lower that weapon". The man shook his head "Like hell you are, you're gonna turn around and walk right back out the way you came" He sounded frantic, scared even. We hear a soft groaning sound after that "I think your daughter needs help sir" He said. "Don't tell me what to do with my daughter!" He angrily said
"Drop it" Ada says, aiming her gun at the man, distracting him from Leon and he pulled out his gun. I did the same. Ada then aims her gun at the small girl "No wait!" The man quickly said. "Step aside, we need to terminate her before she turns" Ada responds, keeping that blank straight face. I glare softly at her "Ada she's just a child..." I mutter at her in an angry tone. Leon looks at me and then Ada "Ada.. Just let them be" Leon softly spoke. Ada lowers her gun, thank god she listened.
"Emmy, I thought I told you to stay put" The man said. "Da-ddy" The girl groans. Poor kid. The man quickly moved over to his daughter and hugs her "Its okay daddy's here Emmy... Emma..." He sniffles "Those fucking things outside... Look what they did to us..." He looks over at Leon and Ada "You're a cop, you're supposed to know something how did this happened?! Huh?!" He yells "She was our sweet little angel". We all stayed quiet, not knowing what to say. "Mu-mmy" Emma groans out again. The man holds onto her arms "Mummy's sleeping honey... and I.. I'm going to put you to bed too..." He lifts up the moaning and groaning girl and carries her to the door before turning back to us one last time "Just go... Just give us some privacy" He whimpers and then slams the door with his gun.
I felt a tear roll down my cheek, that poor man and daughter, suffering and now he's about to lose his daughter too. God help us all. "You know.. it's one thing to keep the truth from me, but why him?!" He angrily asks Ada. All of a sudden we hear the sound of a shotgun go off. I whimper and frown, more tears spilling down my cheeks. "I wanna find out what's going on and stop whoever's behind it!" Leon continued, sounding very determined. Ada stayed silent before she soon spoke "My mission is to take down Umbrella's head operation. We may not make it out" She responded. So Umbrella really was behind everything, fuck them, I'll make them pay for what they did. " Whatever it takes to save the city. Count me in" Leon said.
"Me too, I always knew Umbrella were shady as fuck. Didn't think they would've fucked up this bad" I look back towards the door where the man took his daughter into "I may be some trouble maker but I had friends who I considered family. And now... thanks to them I may never see them again. I don't care if I end up dead" I look back at them. Leon gave me a small smile. Ada nods "Lets get going then, there's a way to Umbrella's headquarters, the sewers" She said before walking off through the gate.
Leon grabs my hand "Are you sure-" I quickly covered his mouth with my hand "Don't even ask that. Of course I am. Those fuckers will pay for what they've done" I stare up at him before walking off, him following behind me.
