The first week of Hope and Lyall's two weeks away went a lot slower than Isabella had hoped it would, however, she had come up with a resolution. She filled a rucksack with some clothes and the things she needed, checking the letter that her friend Kaitlyn had sent her one last time.

She slipped on her Beauxbatons Bellefeuille quidditch jumper on and slung her rucksack over her shoulder, leaving her room and making her way downstairs.

"Remus!" Isabella shouted.

"What?" He yelled, seeming annoyed at her sudden appearance as she hopped into the living room, forcing her foot into her shoe.

"I'm staying at Kaitlyn's house tonight."

"No you're not," his response was so blunt that Izzy rolled her eyes, biting back a laugh.

"I am and you're not dropping me, I'll be back tomorrow afternoon."

"You don't even have a key Isabella! And you're grounded! Mum would kill you and me if she knew you were going."

"First of all Remus, we live in a magical household, I'm going to travel through the bloody fireplace, I don't need a key."

"Oh..." he looked embarrassed, and his friends all laughed at him.

"Secondly, mum and dad aren't in the country, there are no tracking devices on me and they don't use muggle technology; therefore, they have no way of knowing I'm gone, so you have no point to make."

"You should let her go," James chipped in, and all eyes turned to where he was sitting on the sofa. "You clearly don't want her here, and if she's only going to her friends house then I doubt there will be any trouble."

"Who made you the parent?" Sirius asked, a smirk across his face as he looked at his friend.

"No one," he leant back on the sofa, his arms stretched across the back of it. "I just don't see why you have to argue, she would probably let you leave in a heartbeat."

"See, even he agrees. Anyway, bye. See you tomorrow."

Remus groaned and watched as sister stepped into the fireplace and with a handful of floo powder and a few words, she was gone in a green flash.

"She hasn't got a care for anything you say!" Giggled Peter.

"I know, it's annoying," he groaned. "I can't believe she's coming to Hogwarts, I'm going to hate it!"

"What's happened with you two?" James finally asked, the question had been on the tip of his tongue for a whole week, and now seemed the perfect time to ask.

"I don't want to talk about it," Remus shrugged, purely because the topic made him too emotional.

"It's okay, mate," Peter said, smiling hopefully at his friend.

"He's insufferable, Kait, I'm telling you!" They were sprawled out on the bed, gazing at the ceiling, content in each other's company.

"If I had him as a brother, I'd simply scream my head off until I burst his eardrums," giggled Kaitlyn, slightly turning up the music on her record player.

"Oh trust me, I want to!"

"Hey, look at the bright side, three hot guys in your house? I could only dream!"

"Who said they were hot! And hello, you have a boyfriend!"

"Who cares," she said dreamily, "tell me about them! Are they beautiful?"

"There's Sirius Black-"

"As in, the pure bloods? Aren't they rumoured to be kinda..."

"Evil?" Izzy asked, chuckling. "They are, but I'll give him the benefit of doubt, he's quite nice. He's go long black hair, and I need his hair routine, I'm telling you, Kait, it sparkles!"

"I'd die for perfect hair," the brunette sighed, despite the fact that her hair was quite literally, perfect.

"There's Peter, he's kind of short, he's got dirty blonde hair, a little on the chubby side, but in an adorable way, you know?" The blonde explained, "he's quite sweet actually. Really polite. He always offers me whatever they're eating or drinking, it's so cute!"

"Awww!" Kaitlyn coo'd, a bright smile on her face, "I want a guy like that as my brother, they look like they give the best hugs!"

"Exactly!" Izzy nodded enthusiastically. "Then there's James, he looks quite muscly, I think he's quite sport maybe? He's got dark hair, really messy but in a good way, effortlessly good kind of way. He's nice too, he's stopped Remus from being...well, Remus, so many times and-"

"All this talking and yet you haven't told me you kissed him yet? Isabella wake up! That man sounds like the guy every girl wants in her life!"

"Kiss him? I don't even know him! Besides, I'd never date any of them, they're Remus' friends."

"They can be your friends too," Kaitlyn pointed out. "You're about to go to their school, he can't put restrictions on what you do or who you're friends with."

"True, but they must have bad taste in everything if they're friends with someone like him!"

"Hmm, I can't deny that one," Kaitlyn giggled, before pouting. "I'm so jealous, you have three boyfriends, I only have one."

"Oh stop! I do not!"

"Do too!"

"No!"

"Yes!"

"Kaitlyn!"

"Hogwarts men sound like angels," Kaitlyn sighed, speaking in French.

"You're crazy," Isabella replied in the same language.

"If I didn't want to be a model, I'd be on the first flight to Scotland," Kaitlyn declared. "Oooh, I was reading a magazine the other day, and it told me about this amazing face mask that people are making from scratch, apparently it's doing wonders!"

"You don't really wanna - oh, okay, I guess we are," Isabella followed her friend down the stairs, instantly raiding the kitchen for ingredients, concocting an array of masks that promised glowing skin and relaxation. Armed with avocado, honey, and yogurt, they transformed the kitchen into a makeshift spa, their laughter resonating as they applied the mixtures to each other's faces.

"Does this really work, Kait, or are we just making a mess?" Isabella teased, her face adorned with a green avocado mask.

Kaitlyn grinned, a smudge of honey on her cheek. "Who cares? It's all about doing what the magazine says, and if we end up with radiant skin, that's just a bonus!"

The impromptu spa session evolved into Kaitlyn grabbing her camera, capturing pictures of their awful looking faces. The camera clicked, freezing moments of shared joy and laughter as tangible memories.

"Here, we can show this one to your boyfriend James," the girl teased, and Izzy rolled her eyes.

"He's not my boyfriend, and I'm going to kill you!"

As they peeled off the masks and cleaned up the kitchen, their attention shifted and they went back up the stairs, flicking through the witch-weekly magazine, a French modelling mag.

"I needed this, just a day to escape that sodding boy," Isabella sighed, her eyes scanning a picture of Clarissa O'Velen, one of the most famous French models in the wizarding world.

"I can imagine, how long till your mum and dad come home?"

"A week! Two weeks of torture, and then the whole of the summer without his friends! He'll probably be worse when they're gone, he's playing nicely so that they don't question him."

"Well, you can always come over!"

"I hope so, though I think I'm grounded for life, save me!"

The pair sat giggle again, and as the night draped its quiet veil over the room, the friends gossiped, chatted and laughed their way through the night.
