Why are these even a thing? Like why the hell do you need certain features to be considered "beautiful" in our society?
To me the worst part about beauty standards is that most of the time the so called "epitome of beauty" is usually people with light skin and the beauty industry glorifies light skin a bit too much
There's so much beauty in dark skin and dark skined people are just so beautiful. Like idk there's just something about it that is just so attractive
Also runway models aren't even that attractive in my opinion, they look unhealthy asf
Isn't it strange that most models are either too big (plus size models) or too skinny? Like why can't we have models that are in between?
The point is beauty standards are shit the only thing that beauty standards have done to our world is make people insecure and turn people vain
I also i find it strange how in some countries the beauty standards are usually the opposite of what a person from that certain country should look like
Like in Latin America the beauty standard is having hella light skin, bright eyes and bright hair...bitch do you know how rare and uncommon it is to see someone in Latin America with all of those features? (Well except in Argentina and chile i guess). And in latin American soap operas the woman in it are usually blonde women with blue eyes and white skin, well they don't specifically always have blue eyes and blonde hair but they mostly have fair skin, meanwhile the dark skined women in it is usually either the villain or some house keeper
But at the end, like everyone always says, beauty is subjective. You can believe that everyone is beautiful in their own ways but at the same time have a preference
I like all skin types/colors and i believe that there's beauty in everything and everyone. But i personally think that people with tanned skin, dark hair and brown eyes are the most desirable and beautiful
But like i said, i like all skin colors, eye colors, hair colors, hair types ect
Remember, it doesn't matter if you don't fit in the so called "beauty standards" as long as you're a good person you're worth everything and you're beautiful cause you have a good heart
Also if someone is physically beautiful but if they are a bad person their beauty is worth nothing
