I eyed the screen of my phone. How do I begin relaying this revelation to my father. I'm sure this will worry him as well...

I cleared my throat and looked at Annika who was nothing but fidgeting. She advised me not to tell my parents yet as it will be an insult to the Russian royals. Announcing something without their consent.

"The Russian Soviets are here."

I simply said. I was expecting my father to inquire more as I'm pretty sure this is also a surprise for him. But he remained silent for a couple of seconds before he was able to say something...

Something that 'surprised' me instead.

"And so it has started... well, eventually, our plans will perfectly fall into place. I was meaning to discuss this matter to you before your travel escapades with your friends occured but I guess Alexander was eager for everything to take place as soon as possible."

I rose from my seat;

"Y-you knew about it? The coronation?? Russia is ascending to throne... you allowed this?? You know this is chaotic father!"

"I know how you feel. Calm down, listen to me,"

"How can I be calm when I know that you're allowing the Russians to fully take over the circle? I-"

"WE WILL ASCEND TOO."

What my father said shushed me in an instance...

"W-what? But-"

"It's decided long ago. We all decided to do this. Korea will ascend... the French will try to return to absolute ruling. We will all ASCEND."

I was speechless.

"Why...but why suddenly decided? Aren't we all going to clash to our deaths and greed one day??"

My father heaved a deep sigh.

Still shaken of this revelation and still against the idea, I wasn't able to say more.
