First love - Chanbaek

Dinner

Today is Saturday and it's a particularly difficult day for Baekhyun not only because he has to wake up  and work all day but because during the weekends the coffee shop is full of students studying there all day and they sit there differently from the business people frequenting the EXO during the week, they grab they order and leave so it's mostly empty he gets to do his homework and assignments in between clients but during the weekends.

"Baekhyun can I have another piece of strawberry cake please? Table 5" Baekhyun's boss said.

Baekhyun quickly took the piece of cake and gave it to Kris, his boss.

"Welcome to EXO how can I help?" Baekhyun looked at the new client but not paying that much attention as sometimes he gets into auto pilot.

"Byun Baekhyun right?" Baekhyun looked paying attention this time. Sometimes he uses his autopilot mode.

"Yes?" Baekhyun asked confused I mean his first name is easy to find out because he wears a name tag but how does he know his full name.

"Oh I'm Zhang Yixing we met yesterday and you fiancé's office." Yixing said and Baekhyun lost his colour when he heard his boss dropping a glass.

"Hyung?!" Are you alright?" Baekhyun started to help his boss. "Kris hyung?" He called his boss.

"I'm okay, take care of the customer I'm going to clean this mess watch out."Kris send.

"I'm sorry about that, would you like to order?" Baekhyun ignored his shaking hands. "Yes that's me." Baekhyun said embarrassed.

"You are adorable, can I have two lattes and two slices of red velvet cake please?" Yixing asked "To take please."

"Right away." Baekhyun said before looking at his boss and friend.

"So you are working late today? Or do you have to study for your next exam?" Yixing asked.

Baekhyun thought it was just small talk just like most customers do while waiting.

"Oh today I work to 3pm or a little later if hyung needs extra help after that I don't know what to do it depends if my roommate whats to do something." Baekhyun said working.

"Oh so there no problem with you going to the dinner?" Tao finally spoke.

"Di...Dinner?" Baekhyun asked.

Tao took a small notebook and a pen from his pocket and started to write something.

"I don't know why your fiancé didn't tell you but please, we will be waiting, it's at 7pm." Tao said firm and Baekhyun noticed how it sounded like a challenge.

Why does it sound like he is changing me all the time?

"I...I don't think I can." Baekhyun said giving them the lattes. "You...You know we had a little argument." Baekhyun lied. "We are not hmm."

"I'm here early." Jongin one of his coworkers and friend said. "are you okay?" Kissed Baekhyun's cheek before running inside to their break room.

"Who was that?" Yixing asked a bit confused by the affection.

"It's my friend, we work together and study together." Baekhyun explained and given them the cake.

Tao paid for everything.

"We will be waiting for you." Tao he basically challenged Baekhyun.

"Call your friend. Please hyung." Chanyeol asked Jongdae for the thousand time. "He is going to ask me questions about him and I didn't even know his name."
