Bayley is sprinting down the 6th floor hallway as she finally gets to room 253. She swings the door open to see a nurse in there plugging in his last IV and she looks at Bayley smiling but sadness behind her eyes as she gives her the room and Bayley finally gets a good look at her husband
He is wearing a full body cast from his pecks to his toes which causes Bayley to start tearing up but what cracks her is when she gets a look at his hands

She covers her mouth to keep from balling her eyes out, you can't even see the tattoo he got for her on his hand because of all the needles and gears in his hand. She doesn't even hear the doctor walk in to check on him
Doctor: "We did everything we could" Bayley turns around to look at him as he hands her a box of tissues "his hand will function normally after rehab but playing guitar will be practically impossible. He should wake up any time now so I'll be back in a little while to check on him" he says as he goes to the charts to look at something then leaves the room
Bayley: *to herself* "Then you don't know my Blake" she slides the chair next to him and placed her hand on his arm so he could feel some comfort while he was resting
After about 45 minutes Bayley is resting, leaning her head against his shoulder almost dozing off until she feels some movement and in her sleepy state says
Bayley: "Blake, would you sit still i was almost asleep" after a couple seconds and realizing what she said she jumped up "Blake? Baby?"
Blake: *grunting in pain as he tries to move* "Sorry to disappoint you babe"
Bayley practically jumps in the bed giving him the best hug she can while still being conscious of his injuries. She gets off the bed now happy tears streaming down her face as she looks down at him smiling from ear to ear
Bayley: "You scared me there for a minute" she says unable to take her eyes off him
Blake: "Well its not like i did this for dramatic effect
He finally notices his hands and is a little freaked out by it. His heart rate starts to shoot up and Bayley does her best to try and calm him down but it isn't working. The nurses and doctor come in and try and restrain him and he finally calms down. The doctor puts on his glasses and looks at Blake
Doctor: "Mr Duncan, glad to see that you have woken up. Do you remember anything that happened?"
Blake: "I remember getting to the house and dropping her off and i was going to drive to LA to get our dogs. Everything after that is a complete blur"
Doctor: "Well considering the concussion you suffered I'm shocked you remember that much. Along with that you had multiple broken ribs and broke both of your legs." The doctor pauses so Blake can take this all in "and I'm sure those are the reason you freaked out. When the windshield shattered, pieces of the glass cut through the skin on your hand and damaged every single nerve ending in both of your hands. We repaired them as best we could but once they are damaged they never fully heal. You will be able to return to normal life but I'm afraid you will not be able to play the guitar anymore"
