"So, Lloyd." Quin started, making Lloyd look at her, "Are your friends... Nice?"
"Of course, they are. You'll gain their trust quickly if you don't lie." She flinched at his words, "They'll warm up to you pretty quick. Trust me." He smiled at her, snapping her out of her thought as she smiled back.
There was a silence so Quin broke it by asking, "Your friends are the Ninja, right?"
Lloyd nodded, "Yes, but there's also PIXAL, Skylor, Queen Vania, but they live somewhere else, minus PIXAL, she lives here. She sometimes goes to Borg Tower to visit her dad though."
Quin looked down, "Huh? I never knew that. Guess lots of things happened after I fled Ninjago City." She chuckled lightly, "Interesting." She mumbled without Lloyd hearing.
They kept walking in silence. Lloyd was about to start another conversation as they were walking up the stairs, but someone else beat him to it, "Lloyd! You're back." They heard a new voice talk. They both looked up and saw PIXAL fixing some defense mechanism at the front gate. They hadn't even realized that they reached the top of the Mountains of Impossible Height. PIXAL looked at Quin, who positioned her hood on the top of her head shyly, "And you brought a friend with you?" She jumped down from the machine.
Lloyd nodded, "Hey, PIX. And yes, I brought a new friend with me." PIXAL came up to Quin, who waved shyly.
"Hello, my name's PIXAL. Also known as the Primary Interactive eX-ternal Assistant Life-form or Samurai X." She introduced herself, "What's your name?"
"PIXAL meet Quin. Quin, this is PIXAL." Lloyd introduced his new friend, "I met her when I was called for the emergency at the Royal Palace. Turns out she was the one responsible for the break-in." PIXAL looked slightly shocked by this discovery.
"You were the one that broke into the Palace of Secrets?" She asked, Quin nodded.
"Yes, I was. I'm sorry about that, I was looking for something in the Palace." Quin explained herself.
PIXAL tilted her head in slight confusion, "You know the Emperor and Empress? Or the Princess, Princess Harumi?"
Quin flinched again before she nodded, "Yes. You could say we were close."
"Oh. Then I'm sure you know about the accident with Princess Harumi." PIXAL asked as Quin nodded sadly, "I'm sorry for your loss." She added.
Quin shrugged, "It's fine. I haven't gotten over it, but she was in grief still." She put more emphasis on the word 'she', "Anyways, you're Samurai X, right, PIXAL?"
PIXAL giggled and nodded, "Yes. Yes, I am. What about you? What do you work as?"
"I have a part-time job at the Ninjago Daycare." She said while stroking her neck in an awkward kind of way, "I have a thing when it comes to babies, so a close friend of mine encouraged me to work at the Ninjago Daycare, and I followed her advice and it was surprisingly successful." She told her.
"Quite a story you have there, Quin." PIXAL complimented, "Say what day do you go to work there?" She asked.
"Tomorrow," Quin answered plainly, "I'll be leaving sometime at 10 a.m." She looked at PIXAL, "That's when my shift starts. Then I'll come back and I'll be gone again at 3 p.m. for my next shift. Then I'll be done."
"You got a good work schedule, Quin. In my estimation, with that agenda, you'll have enough time to get ready and relax before a shift starts." PIXAL explained again.
They kept talking for a good 25 minutes, and they didn't even notice how late it was getting. PIXAL was about to say something again when Quin yawned, "What time is it?" She asked.
