Chapter 9: Scenarios

Meanwhile With The Guys...

The guys had just finished training and playing video games. They took turns playing and training. Jay and Kai trained first while Cole and Zane played video games, then they switched. Once they were done with their training for the day, they didn't really know what to do. They didn't really want to play video games anymore right now.

Kai then said, "How's Vania, Cole?"

Cole raised a brow, "I just told you our latest date yesterday. The next one will probably be in another few weeks or so." He sighed, sad that he can't see Vania often.

"I meant how she is doing, not what you did with her last time." Kai explained what he meant.

"Oh... Well, she's fine. She told me that her duties as Queen of Shintaro are going smoothly. Not much trouble... How's Skylor doing?" He asked back.

"She's good. Last I checked on her, which was yesterday, her business is running nicely. No stress has piled onto her. She told me that she enjoyed her work." He paused for a second, "And she just told me that maybe she was only good for high-quality noodles. I told her that she was so much more better than that though."

Cole nodded, "She makes good noodles, but she's good at lots of other stuff. Such as fighting, she's a natural." He smiled.

"Vania's good too, you know. I remember you telling me that Vania helped save you from a giant spider." Kai pointed out.

Cole nodded again, "She did. She was really good at it. I was surprised, I figured with her being a princess, she doesn't get much training in the self-defense department. But she turned out to be great!" He bragged about his girlfriend's abilities.

"Nya was a natural fighter too." Jay sighed, suddenly jumping into the conversation.

Zane nodded, "So is PIXAL." The other guys nodded in agreement, "Seems like all of our significant others are natural-born fighters. It's as if destiny provided us with skilled fighters." He smiled.

Jay smiled, "Destiny probably did do that. Lots of crazy things happen in our lives, this isn't the craziest thing that's happened."

"It may not be, but Zane has a point. Nya, Skylor, PIXAL, and Vania all proved to be amazing fighters. It can't be a coincidence." Cole backed Zane up.

"It feels wrong to say this, but it kind of works for Lloyd too." Kai admitted.

Jay raised a brow, "How so?"

"Yeah, Lloyd isn't dating anyone right now. And if you're talking about Quin, we've never seen her fight before." Cole added.

"No, I wasn't talking about Quin. I was actually talking about Harumi-" Kai answered sheepishly.

"Harumi?! Are you crazy?!" Jay snapped.

Zane backed him down, "Jay, calm down. Kai was only pointing that out."

Jay got up to Zane's face, "But she tried to kill us! And Lloyd! It just proves that she has no love in her heart!" Jay screamed.

Cole pulled Jay off of Zane, "Woah! Jay, calm down. Like Zane said, Kai was just mentioning her." He tried to reason with Jay.

Jay took in a sharp breath and let it out. He calmed down... A little bit. And Kai continued, "Anyways, like I said, it feels wrong to say this, but Harumi was a fighter. You gotta give her that." Kai stated.

"She's a good fighter, I admit." Cole answered truthfully.

Zane added up, "Correction, a great fighter. She may have fought for something that was wrong, but you have to admit, she'll fight for anything she wants. She doesn't give up easily."

Jay sighed, "Fine. I admit, she was skilled and talented in that department, but she used it for evil." Jay tried defending himself.

"True, but still. Maybe, she could've changed?" Kai tried.

Zane stepped up, "The chances of that are very low, Kai. Not just because of what she did, but also because she passed away."

Cole nodded, "Lloyd, Nya, and Dareth all saw her falling from the building. There is no way she could've survived that."

Kai shook his head, "There's a higher chance that she's gone, but this is Harumi we're talking about. She's crazy. Not as crazy as Ultra Violet, but crazy enough to find a way to survive that fall."

"How did she fall off of the building anyway? Did Lloyd or Nya ever tell us about that?" Zane asked. The other guys shook their head 'no', "I could narrate some possible ways she could've survived." His eyes glowed and a drawing board appeared, "She wouldn't have jumped off, she's smarter than that."

"So Harumi just jumping off the building is out of the question..." Cole said.

"If the building was crushed from the top, Harumi would've died. If the building slowly crumbled, she'd die as well..." Zane said his thoughts out loud.

"What if the building started falling from below?" Kai suggested.

"Hmm. If the building were to start falling from the bottom, chances are she could find a way to survive. It's more likely if the building was slightly slanted." Zane confirmed.

"How so?" Jay asked.

"There are a few examples. One, she could've simply slid off from the top when the ground was close enough. Two, She could've stayed on the highest point of the building then jumping off when the ground was close enough. And there are lots of other ways." Zane calculated possible ways.

"But either way, if Harumi did survive, she would've been caught already. There was no way she could've outrun the police force after surviving a building collapsing." Jay said realistically.

Kai sighed, "Jay's right. I mean, why are we even talking about how Harumi could've survived again?" He asked.

"Because we all know Lloyd still has feelings for her. Right?" Cole guessed.

Zane nodded sadly, "Yes, but sadly, the chances of her even being alive is very slim. Unless she had help, somehow."

"Who would help her? She helped bring Lord Garmadon back. I doubt anyone who sees her in pain would help." Jay said.

"Jay's right again." Kai groaned in frustration, "Why are we even talking about this again? She almost killed us."

"How about we talk about something else?" Jay suggested.

"Like, Zane? How's PIXAL doing?" Cole asked.

"She's fine, I guess. She left early this morning after breakfast to finish her new mech." Zane answered.

"Why didn't you go with her?" Kai asked.

"I wanted to spend time with you guys. We're all gonna meet up at Chen's Noodle House later anyways." Zane replied to Kai's question.

They started talking and talking, and before they knew it, it was already time for them to meet up. The guys noticed a bit late and had to rush to get their stuff ready. They quickly ran down the stairs and rushed to the noodle house.
