The Mask

Why are the cops not here yet? I have huge knife my under neck! I wanted to scream these out but doing that might kill me, Well all the movies do that so I remained quiet. The Guy wore a mask on his face not any ordinary one but it had a design on it's side and it was unique I could see it through the reflection of the mirror. I could feel him breathing on me, he brought himself close to me and whispered "Don't scream or you end up like your friend", well that's something I already expected from guy who is holding a knife under someone's neck. I had to take up courage and stay strong so I remained quiet. Why should I remain quiet ? I am student majoring in criminology I know about criminals that's what mind said , yet again I remained quiet. 

He pushed me towards the window and I knew he was gonna escape through the window I had to stop him on all cause, But how? I saw a rod in Lucy's laundry bag but he said "Don't make a move or you're friend outside dies as well", well atleast for her life I had to remain quiet. I could hear the sirens the cops came but he pushed me down and was planning to jump but I somehow caught him, he was strong very strong. He turned around and tried to resist our eyes meet pale sea blue I was startled but I said to myself " Concentrate". The more he resisted the more weak he grew cause I didn't let go of his arms I held on tight cause his knife was on the floor which gave me a relief. The cops reached the house now you have to surrender that's what I said to the guy.  But he smiled at me which gave a sense of something going wrong he looked at me and said "arriverderci tesoro" which means "goodbye sweetie" I remember recalling it in a series I watched not long ago. And he was to jump off but I managed to pull of his mask but I couldn't see his face he had already jumped out. The head of the cops shouted to catch him but he was gone. Did he just disappear? He isn't human I thought. 

I looked at his mask which had the letter "E.M." engraved on it ,the cop said it might belong to underground group but I came to an conclusion it was his name. But who was he? I could still hear his voice around, I couldn't guess if it was a soft voice or a harsh one but it was definitely nice hearing his voice. I went out with the  mask in my hands and found my best friend fainted on the couch, the paramedics helped her and she said someone knocked her off from the back. It must mean that the killed wasn't alone he had an accomplice for sure. The cops found a letter on Lucy's desk which was written by her. I could tell by the handwriting it was neat and wasn't rushed. The cop had said she must have known that she will get killed. He gave me the letter but I told him shouldn't you use it as an evidence to catch the killer. But he said "The message is for you". Me? I asked him. Yes, he said . So I read the letter aloud and it said "They'll come for you too Evy...be wise".

 But who? Who will come and Why?
