Downstairs, Delia had set out three mats, one that was for her and Lydia, one that was for the Maitlands, and one that was for Betelgeuse. In the corner, Lydia leaned against a wall and folded her arms, looking as annoyed as ever. Fifteen or so minutes ago, the deceased residents of the household were supposed to join both of the living females and they still hadn't, which, to Delia, was worrying.

Had they lost track of time? Did they forget about the living-dead meditation time.

"What's taking them so long?" Lydia scoffed, rolling her eyes.

Delia, sat on her mat and practicing meditation, turned her head in Lydia's direction. "I'm sure they'll join us soon. And that's if they didn't forget about this. Now come over here and meditate with me."

"No."

"Lydia, c'mon. Please?"

Lydia began making her way out of the room she and her stepmother were in. "I'm going to go see if I can find them."

Delia opened her mouth to speak but then closed it, rolling her eyes and shaking her head.

Typical Lydia.

Lydia slammed the door to Delia's yoga/meditation room closed, slowly and silently making her way up the stairs to the second floor and then up the stairs to the attic. She stood outside the attic for a brief, short while, hearing the sounds of a conversation between the Maitlands and Betelgeuse. And, from what she could tell, it didn't seem good. Lydia waited at the very least another minute before knocking on the attic door, closing her eyes and taking a much needed deep breath.

"Guys?!" she called out.

It was Barbara who opened the attic door, looking equally as confusedly and worriedly out at Lydia. A while later, Adam and Betelgeuse also peeked their heads out the attic door. Equally as confused as Barbara.

"Lydi-," Barbara began, only to be cut off by the teenager.

"Delia's meditation session started fifteen minutes ago. What was taking you guys so long?"

"Oh, right. Tell Delia that we're going to have to do that another day," Barbara said as Adam and Betelgeuse nodded. "Adam and I got into a bit of a disagreement with Betelgeuse and it's going to take us quite a while to sort things out."

"What happened?!" Lydia asked, sounding confused and curious at the same time.

Not one of the deceased members of the household said a word for what seemed like a while, Lydia nodding and turning to head back downstairs to do some meditation with her stepmother. Delia would understand.

Barbara closed the attic door, her and Adam turning to face Betelgeuse and folding their arms whilst glaring at Betelgeuse. And it seemed that the demon was doing the same, as evidenced by the fact that his hair was now circulating through a wide variety of colors before finally settling on a deep but light shade of blue.

"What do you mean when you say that we should take things further in this relationship of ours?" Barbara hissed under her nonexistent breath, raising an eyebrow. "We're still taking things slow, remember?"

"It's just one step further!" retorted Betelgeuse, his hair briefly flashing red before reverting back to blue. "From cuddling. Maybe cuddling and kissing."

"Let's just stick to the cuddling for now," Adam suggested, Barbara nodding in response.

But Betelgeuse, on the other hand, seemed to not agree, his hair becoming a mix between pink, green, and yellow. "Not if I dip you sexy, adorable beasts into kisses."

Adam and Barbara shook their heads at once, but, still, Betelgeuse didn't seem to be paying attention, moving towards Adam and dipping him into a kiss. The male ghost was stunned at first, but eventually relaxed - allowing Betelgeuse to do so. After a brief and quick while of doing so, Betelgeuse pulled away from Adam and turned on his heel as he made his way over towards Barbara - proceeding to do the same thing to her. Like Adam, Barbara relaxed as she let Betelgeuse do so. Then the demon pulled away from her.

"Why don't we continue with some cuddling and keep it at that?" Barbara suggested as she summoned the same bed that they used for stuff like this and pointed her hand out towards it. Adam and Betelgeuse looked at one another before looking back over towards Barbara and nodding in unison.

That seemed like a good idea.

Moving towards the bed, Adam and Betelgeuse got up onto it with Betelgeuse in the center of the bed and Adam laying to his left. Barbara got up onto the bed, moving to lay down to Betelgeuse's left. One after the other, Adam and Barbara put a hand on top of Betelgeuse's chest area, closing their eyes and shifting a little closer to Betelgeuse, staying like that for at least a while.

Day turned to evening and evening turned to night, the cuddling session the Maitlands and Betelgeuse were having interrupted when the sounds of knocking and Lydia's voice were heard from the other side of the door.

"Adam, Barbara, I'm going to bed! Delia said we can try again on the living-dead meditation session when my dad is home if that's okay with you guys!"

"Yeah! That should be fine!" the Maitlands called back to her at once. "Night, Lydia."

The sounds of Lydia's footsteps faded away as she made her way downstairs and to her bedroom, and, with that, Adam, Barbara, and Betelgeuse went right back to their cuddling session.
