The day after my birthday Daniel didn't show up to school. He wouldn't answer any of my texts or calls either. I tried going to his house and well, no one was there. The days following were unmerciful. Without Daniel's intimidating presence, to everyone at school I was once again free game. The original group of boys who started the teasing surrounded me into a corner during lunch period. "Check it out boys, looks we caught a whale. Ha might even set a world record for it size too!" the boys' leader spoke. Tears pricked my eyes as I begged them to simply leave me alone. Of course that didn't play out to well with them, "No one told you to speak!" He glared at my body as though judging a decision. "Ya know what boys, we could probably piss off Daniel a lot more by hurting here a different way too." An evil smirk etched it's way onto their faces. Suddenly they yanked me down the halls into the abandoned school basement. One covered my mouth enabling to scream, while the rest held my body down. The leader of the group forcefully ripped off the dress Daniel had bought me the day before leaving it on the ground, nothing but ripped spreads of cloth. He forced himself into me in the most excruciating ways possible. After each one of them had their fun they left me down there bleeding and unable to move or speak. Before they left they made sure I knew if I told of what happened their death threats will be put into place. Eventually I passed out from the pain, thank god. When I woke up I couldn't even move but with the little strength I had I picked up my cell phone.

I've gotta call someone to help me. This isn't like all the other times where I'm sore for a while or mentally damaged. This was rape, this was going to take hospitalization and police and therapy and I would have to tell everything. Everything I've been hiding for the past 7 years to all the people ice been trying to hide it from. Suddenly I felt dizzy and looked down at my body, there was so much blood coming from everywhere. The ground beneath me is covered in this warm, sticky red pool. I dial my fathers number, "Hello, this is Canning. I cannot make it to the phone right now but will call you back as soon as I get the message. Beep."
"D-dad. Help...please. T-th-they hurt me." I forced out with jagged breaths. Then once again passed out.
*dream*
I opened my eyes to a beautiful plain filled with every gorgeous flower and scenery Mother Nature could behold. As I walk through the field I come to stop seeing another woman who looks like an older me, but way prettier. She takes my hand, "Honey, I know it's hard right now but you can't give up. Your father needs you. And that boy Daniel, he's on his way to see you right now." Tears in my eyes, "M-mom? Am I dead? What's happening?" She smiles lovingly at me, "Your not dead sweetie, thankfully, but your almost there. I will always love you with everything I have then some but for now...I don't want to have to see you with me like this." She gently cups my face and kisses my forehead, "goodbye, sweetie."
I wake up to a bright light, beeping, and...crying? That is crying! It's Daniel!
"Daniel?" I spoke my voice hoarse. His head sprung up revealing red, puffy eyes and a sorrowful face. "Anna!!" He screamed with joy and launched himself at me engulfing me into a hug. "I-I never thought I'd get to see you again. The-the doctors, they said you wouldn't pull through. Oh my god, Anna! There was so much damage! They thought you had been hit by a bus, twice!" I was now the one crying. "Daniel I'm so sorry I'm the reason you have to go through all this."
"Anna, this is nothing compared to the pain I would have from losing you or not even meeting you!" I could barely even see through my watery eyes. "They said along with the major loss of blood and injuries, you were severely undernourished and had so so so many cuts on you." He was a sobbing mess as was I. "Promise, promise me you won't die or leave me alone. I'm so sorry I wasn't there but I should've been." Your dad wants to talk to you as do the police so I better go tell 'em your alive huh" he forced a smile and left.
After telling the police and Dad everything, literally everything that's ever happened since mom died I was told to rest. After one month I was allowed back at school. So here I am, writing in this journal that has heard every one of my thoughts since day one here. And soon I'll have to turn this in for god-knows-who to read. But while they're doing that I'll be here with Daniel, finally being at least somewhat happy.
