A/NThis is what Harry looks like at the moment...
Some warnings... One, I like to use fanfiction as inspiration to draw things, so you'll get more visual representations of things than descriptions... I'm bad at descriptions, so bear with me now! Two, updates go pretty slowly most of the time as well as random. Three, my art style continuously seems to shift a bit.

Time flew by, and Hadrian James Potter survived with the cards he was dealt. It was a crappy hand, but he learned to improvise.
Things started to turn when he turned 5 and started school. There Hadrian had learned his birth name, how to read, and how to count. The greatest discovery, in Hadrian's opinion, had been the library. The library was not only a source of knowledge but also a safe haven during lunch and recess. Miss. Tanya, the librarian, was a nice young lady who didn't listen to rumors his aunt had managed to spread amongst the school. She was kind, intelligent, and would bring him snacks while he hung out in the library! Hadrian would learn from that kindness and Miss. Tanya would teach him many lessons that would shape him into the person he would become in the future.
Schooling was difficult, especially when he learned the hard way that if the Dursleys knew he had higher grades than Dudley, he would be met with harsh punishment. That had actually been the first time Hadrian was whipped by his Uncle's belt.
No way would he allow that freak to be better than his son.
After that beating, Hadrian knew he had to figure something out. He couldn't keep his grades lower than Dudley's, he'd fail school, and then he'd never be able to leave the Dursleys!
That's when Hadrian majorly went behind the Dursley's backs for the first time.
And it was not the last time either.
Every day, before the Dursleys woke and came down for breakfast, Hadrian would cook, set the table, and bring the newspaper and any mail to the table for Vernon to read and sort through. Part of that mail was his report card, of which Hadrian just had to find and hide.
At first, Hadrian was worried, would they notice?
That worry was quickly eased as Hadrian realized that the more out of the way he made himself, the less they cared, and the easier things got. Basically, if Hadrian's report card went missing, they wouldn't care! It was just one less reminder of the freak. This also had its own drawbacks as it also meant anytime something did happen, the worse the punishment. It also didn't excuse Hadrian from being punished when someone had a bad day. That was when the beatings got really bad.
But Hadrian survived.
He cooked, cleaned, gardened, and read as much as he could from the school library. Then there was winter where Hadrian would be kicked out of the house and into the frigid cold.
