~ Numb To The Feeling - Chase Atlantic ~
❤︎I wake up to bright lights. I look around the living room seeing it's empty. I smell something good. I get off the couch and brush off my grey sweats and black crop top.
I walk into the kitchen where Heath is blending a smoothie. "Morning. Made breakfast," he pours the smoothie into two cups.
"Not hungry," I mumble honestly. I don't feel hungry.
"I don't play that shit. Jordyn told me you didn't eat at all yesterday," he sets down food on the counter run front of the stools; a breakfast bar
I shrug. "Where is she? And everyone?" I ask, changing the subject. I cross my arms and lean against the wall.
"Tag has football training, Levi and Maya took a plane back early this morning, Jordyn and Ajax had class and Taylor had some modeling shit," he answers. He finishes washing and drying his hands before walking over to the breakfast bar. He sits down on a stool and pats the seat next to him. "Let's eat."
"Heath, I'm not really hungry right now," I sigh.
"I'm not asking again," he declares. I glare at him not bothering to move. He gets out of his chair and walks over to me.
Before I have the chance to say anything he picks me up by the waist as if I weighed the same weight as a feather. "Heath!" I shriek. He places me down on the counter next to the food.
He picks up a cup of smoothie and a spoon. He scoops the spoon in the smoothie before holding it to my lips. "You can act as much of a brat as you want but you're eating. Open," he says.
"Heath I'm," I try to get down but he places his arms down on my thighs.
"Now open," he repeats. I give up and open my mouth letting him spoon feed me. "Good girl. What's on your schedule for today?" He asks while eating the same smoothie with the same spoon.
"Nothing honestly. Just waiting on the university to accept me," I admit. I open my mouth letting him spoon feed me again. And again.
Once we finish the smoothie he places a bowl of oatmeal in my lap. I take the spoon from him to eat it myself. "Why don't you go out with me today then?" He asks.
"Yeah right. Why don't you take Taylor out. You guys seemed so close and cuddly last night," I say in a high pitched sarcastic voice.
Heath chuckles annoyed. "I don't like her," he states.
"Doesn't seem like it," I mumble.
"There's only one girl I want," he says. I look around the counter and reach for a chef's knife. I hold out the tip pointing it at Heath.
"And there's only one person I want to hurt," I smirk.
He rolls his eyes, snatching the knife from my hand. I look down at my oatmeal avoiding eye contact. Because I know if I look up, I'm going to want to go out with him.
I feel a cool metal press under my chin. It lifts my chin up to meet Heath's eyes. A smug grin on his face. "Jordyn took your car so you don't really have a choice do you?" The blade moves down my shirt. He's careful enough not to cut me.
"You can get one of your fancy schmancy limo drivers to get me a ride," I declare. He laughs deeply, the tip of his knife playing with the drawstrings of my sweatpants.
"And what if I don't want to?" He looks up at me. Desire and hunger in his eyes. I use my feet to lightly push Heath away from me. He moves back swirling the knife between his fingers.
