~ As You Are - The Weeknd ~
❤︎Heath's POV
Hours Earlier
"Prystyne why aren't you answering your phone," I mumble walking down the hall to her apartment. I pull a set of keys out of my pocket and unlock her door before entering her place.
I head straight to her room. Her desk is a tad messy but she isn't here. "Hello!" I shout walking through the house. I check the rooms realizing it's all empty.
I pull out my phone and call Jordyn. "Heath! What's up?" She asks after answering on the second ring.
"Prys. Where is she?" I ask.
"She should be at the apartment. Today's jade's birthday so she isn't answering anyone's calls," she explains as if I didn't already know.
"Yeah I know it's Jade's birthday that's why I'm at you guys apartment right now. Prys isn't here," I state. I hear a sigh through the other end.
"Ummm shit. We took her keys so she couldn't have gotten far. Maybe she's at the café," she suggests.
I roll my eyes. These guys are useless. I would've been here earlier if I didn't get called into a meeting. "It's Prystyne she will get as far as she wants. I'm going to look for her," I declare. I put back on my shoes leaving their apartment.
"Text me when you find her. I'll look too but after class," she says.
"Yeah got it," I hung up, sliding my phone into my pocket. I get back into my car and start it up. She has to be at Jade's graveyard. That's the only place I can think of right now.
If only it wasn't so far. It's already so dark out. A two hour drive later and I made it. I walk around the graveyard for a few minutes before spotting a girl with a bottle of wine in her hand.
"Shit," I curse, jogging towards her.
Present Time
"Prystyne," I whisper. She doesn't respond and I can tell she's sleeping now. I pick up the letter off the floor and place it in my pocket. I know she'll want it later. I pick her up in my arms before walking to my car.
I place her down in the passenger seat and buckle her up. I get into the driver's seat and begin driving to the nearest hotel. It's almost 3am and I'm tired myself. I'm not going to drive all the way back tonight.
Twenty minutes later I pulled up to a hotel. I park my car around back before looking at Prystyne. She's starting to wake up. While she wakes up I book us a room online using my phone.
"Prys," I whisper, touching her shoulder. Her eyes open up and she looks at me. I smile. "Hotel."
She nods, reaching for the car handle. I quickly get out as she stumbles over. She catches herself but I jump back as she throws up. "Away from the car!" I shout even though the car is the least of my problems right now.
She moves a little further from the car before throwing up once more. A lot of it splashed on her clothes. "Stay there," I run quickly to my trunk and search through my bags. I grab a duffel bag and a towel.
I toss her which she catches and wipes her mouth. "Come on," I hold my hand out for her. She takes it but doesn't say anything. She's definitely still drunk.
I walk her to the elevator. "Stay here. I'm going to get the keys," I tell her. She nods and leans back against the wall. I quickly run to the front desk and show them my ID before they hand me the keys to the room.
I run back over to Prystyne who's sitting on the floor. She's staring in front of her. "Come on sweetheart," I place my hands under her arms and lift her back to her feet.
She grabs onto me. Some of her vomit on her clothes transferring onto my shirt. I try my best to ignore it and walk into the elevator. I click on the fifth floor.
The doors open and Prystyne mumbles something incoherent. "Yes, yes. Let's get you cleaned up now." I help her down the hall. I drop the duffel bag in my arm and unlock the door.
I use my foot to kick the duffle bag through while helping Prystyne at the same time. "Heath," she breathes out. I grab her and lift her, placing her on the bathroom counter.
I turn on the shower and look back at her. She looks dazed. "Hey, are you able to shower yourself?" I ask. She shakes her head. She points to my shirt and I look down at it.
I close my eyes, keeping myself from throwing up. I throw off my shirt and toss it in the garbage. As much as I hate vomit, it's mainly alcohol which isn't so bad.
I pick up the duffel bag and search through it. "What do you want to wear?" I ask, holding up a shirt and hoodie. She points to the shirt.
I walk over to the running water and lather a rag in soap. Once it's full of soap I walk back over to Prystyne sitting on the counter. She looks down at her feet swinging them. I stand in front of her and she looks up at me.
I smile.
I can't help smiling whenever I'm with this girl. No matter the situation she makes me smile. "Can I change you?" I ask. She nods, lifting her hands in the air.
I take my jacket off her and toss it behind me. I look back at her and throw off her vomit shirt, tossing it in the trash. I grab her hand and begin running the washcloth over it. Getting off all the dirt and vomit.
I hand her one of my clean shirts before turning around. "Heathhh. Help," she whines. I turn back seeing it's halfway on her head. I laugh pulling it down.
"Here," I hand her a pair of clean boxers she can change into.
"Do it for me," she pouts.
"You're drunk. Here," I help her off the counter and turn back around. Half a minute later she taps on my shoulder and I turn back.
I lift her back into the counter. I take a towel and damp it with sink water before dabbing it on her forehead. She hisses at the light touch. "Hurts?" I ask.
"Nooo. I just like making painful noises," she mutters sarcastically. I roll my eyes, tossing the towel. I kneel down to look through the cupboards finding a first aid box.
I take a band aid out and stand back up. "What no Princess bandaid," she whines. I roll my eyes, putting it over her cut.
"You eat today?" She shakes her head in response to my question. I pick up a brand new toothbrush courtesy of the hotel and hand it to her. "Brush your teeth. I'll order room service. What do you want?"
"Burrito," she answers.
I walk out leaving her in the bathroom alone. I pick up the hotel room phone and order us burritos, some fries and drinks. No guacamole because I know she hates guacamole.
I hear a loud crash and immediately run back to the bathroom.
"How the hell did you manage to do that," I laugh, seeing she knocked everything on the floor.
"Look mister. It was in the way," she claims looking up at me. I take her hand leading her back in the room so I can watch her.
She crawls into the bed and I sit next to her. I pick up the remote and turn on the tv. "What're we watching babe?" I ask. She turns her head glaring at me. "What?"
"Don't call me babe. I'm not your babe," she mutters.
"Sure babe," I wink. She takes a pillow whacking it with me. I grab it and toss it on the floor leaving her weaponless.
"Unfair advantage," she mumbles. I hear a knock at the door and get out of bed walking to it. I open the door and a man rolls in our food.
I give him a tip before he leaves. "Your food is here," I push the food towards the bed. We end up watching a movie while we finish our food.
I notice Prystyne fell asleep. I quickly take a shower before crawling back into bed with her. My hands wrap around her waist pulling her back against my chest. I burry my face in her curls as I fall asleep.
