You were at Michelle's apartment watching movies in her room. She was ranting about how sexist it was and that the fact that the fat person was the butt of almost every joke was quite ridiculous. It wasn't very rare for the two of you to have conversations like this.
While you definitely agreed with MJ's points and were considering adding some input of your own, all of that flew out of your head the second you fixed her gaze on her. You could just see the passion that poured out of her with the hand movements and the furrow of her eyebrows.
It was impossible for you to take your eyes off of her. Her eyes seemed to shine even more in this light and her lips looked especially soft after you practically forced her to get some chapstick.
"(Y/n)!"
Your eyes snapped to hers, slightly wide.
"Yes?"
She raised an eyebrow at you and tilted her head a little.
"Did you hear anything I said?"
You scratched the back of your neck, letting out a huff.
"A little."
She scoffed and turned back to the tv. You blew a raspberry and stared at her profile. It was impossible to not get caught in a trance trying to comprehend her beauty.
"Why are you staring at me?"
You shrugged sheepishly.
The two of you turned your attention towards the screen as the end-credits began playing. MJ let out a sigh before getting up and holding her hand out to you.
"C'mon," she gestured towards the fire escape. "Let's go watch the stars."
Your previous embarrassment had been momentarily forgotten as a smile grew on your face. Taking her hand, you let your friend pull you up and let her drag you out the window, but not before grabbing a couple of blankets.
-
The two of you were cuddled together, sharing a blanket while staring at the night sky. You felt Michelle tug at her end of the blanket, ultimately causing it to fall off your shoulder.
You pulled the material back to where it originally was which led to MJ being blanket-less.
She snatched it back, removing the blanket off of you completely. You whipped your head over to her in shock.
"That's how it's gonna be?"
She nodded in response, her lips pressed into a line trying to stifle her laughter.
You lightly pounced on her, straddling her waist. Reaching for her arms, you try to rip the blanket out of her hands. But her arms were so long that she was just able to put it out of your reach.
Your hand lightly brushed against her side causing her to let out a tiny giggle.
You paused and narrowed your eyes playfully.
"No, please don't," MJ muttered, shaking her head. "I beg of you."
Humming thoughtfully, you tilt your head in mock consideration.
"Nope!"
Your fingers dug into her sides, causing her to shriek. You continued to tickle her, admiring the sound of her laughter.
"Okay, okay! Okay," she panted through chuckles. "Okay, you win."
Smiles remained on both of your faces as you stared at one another. As Michelle caught her breath, you noticed how close the two of you were.
Your breath fanned across her face and hers across yours. You let yourself get lost in those honey-brown eyes. You figured out you could stare at them all day.
Neither of you knew who leaned in first. But when her lips first brushed yours, you became quickly addicted.
You looked at her eyes, searching for permission. And when she gave you a nod, there was no hesitation as you dived in.
It was rough at first; the two of you trying to get the hang of things. But as a few moments passed, it felt like utter bliss.
You melt into her as your lips gilded against hers. The taste of her chapstick and the feeling of her gave you euphoria. Her tongue snuck into your mouth and as much of a surprise it was, you let her. You were sure you'd let her do anything she wanted.
With each second that passed, you lost air. You never wanted to stop but you needed to breathe.
Slowly, you disconnect your mouth from hers. You both pant, the utter bliss leaving you breathless.
Michelle scanned your face before leaning in once again.
It was slower this time. You felt each emotion the two of you shared being communicated through this kiss. The longing, the admiration--all of it.
Your arms got weak and your legs felt shaky. Butterflies--no. A zoo was rushing through your stomach, twisting your organs over and sideways.
MJ was the one to end the content moment this time as her hands went up to cradle your face.
"I've wanted to do that for so long," she whispered.
"Yeah?" you questioned, a grin breaking out on your face.
"Yeah," she replied, replicating your expression.
Being with MJ felt like being on top of a cloud. And that cloud was floating all by its lonesome, enjoying the serenity and peace that came along with it.
She made you happy; the happiest you've ever felt in a long time.
You made her happy; happier than she ever thought possible.
The two of you would continue to be there for each other.
As you stared into her eyes and she into yours, you both realized that this is what you wanted. You wanted each other and nothing would stop you.
You deserve these positive emotions. You deserved to be happy, regardless of what your father's actions or your mind said.
Michelle was your happiness and your home.
"I like you, a lot, a lot."
The girl underneath you chuckled, "I like you, a lot, a lot, too."
