Lily's residence...
Gene smells her fruity hair. She is still in his arms and feels that he will never let her go again. He completely missed her. He doesn't know how he could have been without her for so long. How fool he could have been and hurt her! That will regret it until the end of his life.
Suddenly, she moves and gets out of bed, taking her robe from the chair next to the bed. She doesn't look at him. She stands with her back to him and looks out the window, where the morning sun is present.
"Lily," he asks, and arching a confused eyebrow, "are you okay?"
He sees her head pointing to one side, but not to him. He hears her sighing and turns her head back:
"Gene... I don't know... I don't think it will work again..."
"What?" He looks at her questioningly. "What do you say?"
"I said," she says with tears in her eyes and a hoarse voice, "that I don't think this thing will work... between us..."
Looking at her and worried, he gets out of bed and goes and takes his underwear and pants, dress up and walks towards her.
He puts a hand on her shoulder and one on her waist and says in a tender voice:
"Lily, what are you saying there? Then why did you bring me here last night? Why did you make love to me?"
"That's just how I felt then," she says, looking out the window with a lost look and warm tears running down her face.
"I think it was something else," he says, running a hand over the hair on her face and pushing it aside.
"No, Gene!" She snaps and walks away from him looking down and trying not to burst into tears. "Please leave..."
"Lily," he approaches her with one hand in the air.
She moves a hand in front of him, a sign that he is no longer approaching her. He doesn't take another step and stays still and looks at her with lost eyes at her, disillusioned.
"I swear I don't understand you," he sighs.
"Please leave..."
He withdraws his hand, placing it next to his body and sighs for a long time, looking down.
He looks up and looks at her in frustration:
"Okay..."
He walks away and looks for his other clothes and gets dressed. He heads for the door. Lily doesn't even move. She stays still in the same place facing the window.
She bursts into tears when she hears the door open and close and puts her hand to her mouth screaming in frustration.
Next to her is a make up table with her cosmetics and perfumes. Infuriated slams them on the floor with her hand screaming:
"Damn it!"
She kneels down on the floor and begins to cry uncontrollably.
After a month... Lily's residence...
"Sid! Where are you buddy?"
Lily walks through the living room, leaning slightly with her hands down and whistling. She looks around the room but can't find Sid.
"Where did you hide?" She asks, looking around confused.
Suddenly there is a slight barking. The brunette turns her gaze to the noise and sees a small black ball of fur approaching her.
