After a few days... The residence of the Simmons family...

Yesterday was Christmas, and although Lily is extremely worried about her father, she had to smile in front of her children and sings them Christmas carols and give them presents.

Yesterday, something changed the history of Romania, her native country. The president and his wife were executed. This is the beginning of the fall of communism. After so many decades of oppression, everything is gone. Nobody knows what will happen to the country. But something is certain. This period will always remain in the history of the country.

Her father concerns her the most. He hasn't called her in a few days. But given the state of the country now, she is not surprised that he cannot. She hopes that this is the reason.

Lily is in the triplets' room, reading them a story. The little ones are lying down, each in each other's bed, wrapped in beds and looking with curious eyes at her. Their mother sits on a chair and reads a story to them:

"When the wolf came down the chimney, the third little pig lifted the lid and the big, bad wolf landed with a SPLASH in the hot water! The clever little pig danced with his brothers. The wolf would never bother them again. The end."

Lily closes the book and goes to each bed and places a kiss on her children's foreheads.

"Mommy," says Ezra, who just then kisses on the forehead by his mother, "are we like the three little pigs?"

Lily returns to the other two and smiles:

"Let's say yes. You are united and love each other. And besides, you always help each other."

"We love Maya too," says Aryela who raises her hands and gestures.

"I'm sure, my dears."

"Even if we sometimes argue over toys with her," Kaleb says in a slightly irritated voice.

Lily chuckles, raises up and goes and turns off the light bulb.

"Good night, my dears."

"Good night, mommy!" They shout in unison.

The brunette smiles at them once more and leaves the room, closing the door.

She walks slowly down the hall to her eldest child's room and opens the door slightly and take a look inside. Maya has been already asleep. It's completely dark in the room. The girl told her mother that she was big from now on and no longer needed a night lamp. And besides, she doesn't want to read night stories anymore.

It's normal. Her little girl is growing up. And how beautiful she is every day. However, these thoughts make her a little bit sad. But this is the course of nature.

Smiling, she closes the door and turns and walks down the hall. She climbs down the dark stairs and heads straight for the kitchen. She wants to go to the fridge to get some milk, but she gets scared.

Gene is there. It seems that he opened the fridge and is looking for something. Lily moves to the fridge door aside and snorts with laughter when she sees her husband eating a piece of cake and has cream in his mouth.

At first he seems surprised to see her then continue to eat and smile.

"Didn't you say you want to lose weight?" She raises an eyebrow and crosses her arms.

"I just wanted a snack," he grins.

"At this time?"

He shrugs and she snorts with laughter. She approaches him, puts a finger to his creamy lips and then puts it in her mouth, enjoying the flavor.
