Backstory: The Bats watch Marinette through the security camera in her room after she leaves. Reminder: Kwamis can't be seen or heard on camera. Confusion.
3rd POV:
The batboys and Bruce just watched as Marinette follows Alfred to her room. Then Jason speaks up. "Let's check the security cameras in her room." He says. Everyone stares at him wide-eyed before nodding and running off to the batcave and loading the footage of her room.
When they got the footage, they heard heart-breaking sobs coming from the computer. They saw Marinette curled up on her bed, crying with a suitcase open on her bed and what looked like a ladybug themed box open.
Suddenly, Marinettes crying slowed a bit before she turned and started talking.
"It's not fair Tikki. First my classmates, then my friends, then my parents, and now my biological father. Why does nobody believe me? Why can't anyone just hear my side of the story? Do people really think I would bully someone that bad because of jealousy? Does everyone think that about me? Why can't just one person believe me? I just want someone to be there for me and have my back and hear my side of the story before going to believe everything someone else says. Everyone back in Paris knew me for at least years and they all chose to believe someone they hadn't even known for months. Is that all I'm worth to them? Just some girl that gives them free stuff?" She was full on crying now, but didn't seem to care.
The boys had lots of questions, but the biggest being, what exactly had their new sister gone through, and who is Tikki? Was she on the phone with someone?
Suddenly, her crying calmed down and she looked like she was thinking.
Then, she spoke again. "I just want a hug from someone who actually believes me and for someone to tell me that everything will be fine. Even if I know it's not true."
The boys all glanced at each other with worried expressions. Even Damian seemed slightly concerned as to what his half-sister went through back in Paris. Everyone was thinking of ways to cheer her up, but then saw her smile softly at the air? She held her hands out for whatever she was talking to and brought it up to her cheek.
"What the hell is she doing?" Asked Jason, voicing everyone's thoughts. Even Bruce was confused.
After a while, she brought her hands down and smiled at her hand.
Suddenly her face turned into one of confusion before moving to watch an empty space in her room.
Then, there was a flash in her room and she covered her eyes. Now this, this had the Batboys attention. They were ready to go save their new sister, but then saw two people, a girl and a boy, the girl looking creepily like a ladybug, appear. They looked at Marinettes face, searching for any type of fear, but all they saw was shock and a hint of excitement.
Who were these people? How did they appear in Marinettes room? Why were they not here before? The batboys all had so many questions, and needed answers. They watched the screen closely, wanting to see what would happen.
The girl with red hair smiled softly before going over to Marinettes bed. The guy with black hair followed.
The girl spoke. "Marinette, we know this is hard for you. We know your a strong girl and you will get through this. You are one of the best miraculous guardians we have ever worked with. We know that right now, you probably feel like the world is against you. But I promise things will get better and soon, you will have tons of people who believe you and you'll be happy you left Paris. Just don't give up now. Keep going and know that we will always be with you no matter what. Okay?"
