Backstory: Bio!dad Bruce. Marinette spends her Christmas break with her biological family in Gotham. Chaos continues.

3rd POV:

Marinette was spending her winter break with her biological family. It was currently Christmas Eve and everyone was staying up to open present, eat snacks, watch movies, and spend time with each other.

Marinette had just teleported back from battling another akuma and was quite exhausted, but she didn't want to go to sleep and miss out on everything.

Of course, being some of the worlds great detectives, they all had noticed that Marinette had come back very tired. They all silently agreed to see how long she would be able to stay up without falling asleep.

So here they were, at 11pm, gathered in the living room around the tree, laughing at stupid jokes and just having fun. Marinette had helped Alfred make hot chocolate bombs earlier that day, and they were all enjoying the popping bombs in their mugs.

Marinette however, had just gone to the kitchen saying she was going to get some more cookies, when she was actually going to get some very strong coffee to help her stay awake. She still brought the cookies, but she just focused more on her coffee.

"What's in the thermos Mari?" Tim asked, wondering what concoction Marinette had created now.

Marinette, being extremely tired and completely forgetting she wasn't really supposed to drink coffee, said "Coffee, why?"

The chatter instantly quieted, and everyone stared at her. Feeling everyone's eyes on her, she finally realized what she said.

"I MEAN- it's uh- uhm- tea! Yep it's tea!" She said, knowing fully well they didn't believe her.

"Pixie, you're not supposed to be drinking coffee. Give the thermos and get some actual tea or hot chocolate." Jason said.

"Why? It's not like I'm drinking poison or something." Marinette replied, knowing she would probably have to hand over the thermos anyways.

"Pixie." Jason warned, walking over to where she was seated.

"Fine." She said, handing it over.

"Good." He said, taking it.

"Anyways now that that's over, why don't we open our presents now that it's midnight." Said Dick, wanted to open his presents. A chorus of 'yea!' and 'sure' could be heard from everyone.

Eventually, they had all opened their presents, and the living room was a total disaster. A mess of wrapping paper was everywhere, but nobody seemed to mind.

Everyone was enjoying their gifts, happy and content with this years Christmas.
