Chapter 13

The weeks went by and things were somewhat back to the way they were. I woke up at 4 and made breakfast for the both of us, fried plantains with bacon and eggs and a pot of coffee. Then busied myself with getting ready for school I only have two classes on fridays so my day ends early. I pack my over night bags so I wouldn't be home until Sunday. I only spoke with Justin via text and call because he isnt in the country and wont be until tomorrow afternoon.

Three Months later

Jason picked us up from home and we head to school. We conversed about what our weekend would be like. Shante planned on going to the salon because of a party Ruppingz will be keeping on Saturday night while I was planning on staying home and catching up on my student council project on helping less fortunate kids in our school.
Jason pulled up to the school I said my goodbye and left them to talk. I was scrolling through my phone killing time while I wait on Shan to finish up her convo.
" Morning miss student councilor" I looked up and Yaya was standing beside me talking on her phone.
" Hi mama" she signal me with the one minute finger and I went back to my phone.
"How much longer will she be in there?" Yaya asked me
" Girl I really couldn't tell yuh" I replied dryly because we have been standing here a while.
Has I was about to send her a text when the car door opend and she walk towards us.
" Sorry sis I was trying to convince him to come with us tomorrow, yuh know how him stay." She explained
"We??? I told you I was going to stay in this weekend!" I said a bit irritated because for a few weeks I have been slipping on my school work and I really dont play when it comes to that.
" Remember you owe me a outing so dont come with yuh nagging Ants." She huffed out "Memba mi follow you go to the stupid exhibit at Kingston museum and now it's time to do what I want." I sighed because she was right. After a little while the other two girls joined us and we made our way to class.
"I will need to spend my lunch time meeting with the council and seeing that I dont have class after I will spend the rest if time finishing up my presentation, so when class done meet me in the lab" and with that I got up from my seat and left them to go about their day.
I had lunch with my student counselors and when they left for class I made my way to the the computer lab which was where most of us spent our free time.
I walked in and greet Mr Parchment and head to the back. I set up my laptop and head set so I could get to work. After and hour of working I felt my phone vibrating on the table beside my laptop it was Hex I rolled my eyes.
" hello"
"Why you sitting alone ?"
"Hex mi no on the mood..." I was looking around the room to find is location,he was in the opposite corner of the room. "......right now I have alot if work to finish." I whisper shouted.
" Ok I am coming to keep your company" and without getting my reply he hang up and took his belongings and took the seat next to me.

" I thought you were going to call me when you got lunch?" He questioned, Hex gave me a funny face which look comical and shock at ten same time. I giggled and connected my headphones
" I totally forgot with all that's going on right now I was just trying to get meeting them out the way." I explain while looking into the camera.
"Its cool bbe, you look tired
,are you ok?" He asked with concerned laced face.
" yes, it's just I was planning on staying low key this weekend but Shan want to go to a party with her and I drag her to places do what i want so its fitting she is doing the same to me." I told him
"Yea I heard Jason told me. Will you be going ?"
"Yes that's why I am buried in work rn trying to finish up wat I was planning to stretch over the weekend."
" I will be there by 5 tomorrow ok so just relax amma take care of you " his words made me light up. I felt Hex staring holes into my face.
We spoke a little longer and then said our good byes.
"Can you imagine how hurt mi feel knowing you are being forced to attend my party? " Hex asked has i place my phone on the table.
"It's not like that you know how I take my book work serious" I said turning my chair to face him.
" just glad you ago mek it, cause most weekend you at yuh 'bro'club with the uptown crowd,partying with us will be more fun just wait and see." I will take your word for it.
"After graduation what you plan in doing?" I was shocked by is question because this is the first he has ever asked about anything of the sort.
" I plan on studying political science" I said feeling proud of my goal of becoming a politician
" Politics will suit you." He made it sound like a crime
" What does that mean ? " I asked getting irritated
" It means a high colored girl from up town with good grades and daddy's money can most definitely think about college and a prospering career in robbing poor ppl." By this I was fuming
" What the hell you talking about, robbing poor ppl, you alway Hang on like you know something about mi life !" I was furious while he look has if he had no care In the world
" you always making snarky remarks..." this was drawing the attention of the other persons in the room.
" Miss Green please keep the outburst to minimum" I rolled my eyes at Hex and started to pack my things.
"I am leaving sir" I shouted and grab my things and stormed out the door.
