Naomi's POV

Once we left the Hokage's office, and the building, we decided to explore the village so we can get used to it. We'll probably be living here for a while.

My stomach suddenly growled making me blush out of embarrassment once Amaya and Shimizu looked at me amusingly.

They giggled at me while I playfully glared at them. "Guess we have to stop and eat, since we didn't eat breakfast." Amaya suggested as Shimizu nodded in agreement.

"What would you two like to eat then? I'm not really cultural in Japanese foods." Shimizu awkwardly chuckled while scratching the back of her head.

Amaya and I both looked at each other, probably thinking the same thing. "Dango!" We yelled simultaneously while Shimizu blinked at our excitement.

"Okay then." She slowly nodded. "I'll just ask for directions. You know, since we're new here." She explained while looking around, noticing a lady working in a stall that was a few feet away from us. "Excuse me, ma'am?" She called out while walking to her. But before she walked away, she had told us to stay put while we nodded.

As we waited we didn't realize that someone was running our way. Amaya suddenly yelped as she was suddenly pushed down to the ground. She grunted when the person who pushed her fell on top of her.

I gasped in shock, wanting to see if Amaya was okay, but stopped myself from speaking. 'Is that... Naruto?' I mentally yelled while wearing a pure look of shock on my face. 'No freaking way! It is him! Don't scream, Naomi. Don't scream! Stay calm! I repeat, stay calm!' I repeated while shaking out of excitement.

Amaya's POV

'Ow! Who the heck fell on me and won't get off?' I thought with irritation as I opened my eyes, staring back into beautifully sky blue eyes. They showed worry while I widened mine in shock, a blush of embarrassment creeping on my face.

'Is that Naruto?! Great, my anime crush fell on me and now probably thinks I'm a weirdo for staring at him for so long.' I silently freaked out, still looking at him in surprise.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to knock you down. I was kinda in a rush and didn't see you." Naruto frantically apologized, quickly getting up and extending his hand towards me, wanting to help me up.

I stared at for a bit, accepting it and allowing him to pull me up. I dusted myself off, shyly smiling at him.

"It's alright. It was kinda my fault, too. Probably shouldn't be standing in the middle." I laughed awkwardly while rubbing my arm.

"W-Why aren't you screaming at me?" He asked me making my smile drop as I looked at him in sympathy.

"Why would I do that? It was just an accident." I smiled reassuringly at him. "Oh! What's your name? I'd love to be your friend!" I exclaimed with a grin making him look at me in shock.

"Really? No one's ever wanted to even get near me, let alone be my friend." He said, looking at me with so many different emotions.

"Well, I do! So, please, tell me your name." I smiled at him hopefully. He suddenly smiled back at me, tears swelling up in his eyes.

"The name's Naruto Uzumaki and I'm gonna be Hokage one day, believe it!" He exclaimed determinedly making me giggle.

"I believe it." I answered making him look at me surprised. "Oh! My name's Amaya Hozuki. And the girl standing beside me is Naomi Uzumaki." I introduced us, pointing at Naomi who shyly waved at the ball of sunshine.

"Uzumaki?" He repeated, looking at Naomi in shock.

"Yep! I'm an Uzumaki! And if you're one, too, so that means we're automatically family. Since we're from the same clan!" Naomi declared while Naruto looked at her with his mouth agape. "So, you have to get used to us, because we're never leaving you alone. We're friends now, got it?" She asked while grinning at him.

He started to tear up, quickly wiping his tears away with his arm as he grinned back at us. "Thank you. I've never had a friend before. So, this makes me happy." He whimpered.

"Naruto!" We heard someone yell making him tense up.

"Uh... I have to go! But I'll see you guys soon, okay?" He asked, hopeful that we were serious about being his friends.

"Absolutely!" We both smiled making him smile back.

Naomi and I smiled at each other, watching him run away.

"Okay. The lady said it was just a few feet away. Sorry for taking so long, she tried to get me to buy fruits." Shimizu sweat dropped while walking our way.

We laughed at her misfortune, following her towards the shop that sold Itachi's favorite sweet.

'I'm happy I got to meet my favorite ball of sunshine. I bet Naomi's happy as well, judging by the skip in her step.' I chuckled silently, blushing as I remembered our interaction. Hoping to see him again soon.
