also i know it's nearly june but god i am feeling the holiday vibes here and its making me miss winter time

The next day, we all put on our winter hats and scarves to walk into town and go to the cinema; an animated movie just came out and we're all keen on watching it. 

"What is this movie?" Oliver asks me, stealing some of my popcorn as we sit down in the theater. 

"Beauty and the Beast- it's a muggle fairytale," I say. 

"Ah," he nods, trying to get another handful of my popcorn, but I slap his hand away. 

"Buy your own popcorn!" 

"I don't have muggle money!" he says, getting defensive. 

I shush him as the movie begins to play. The animation is very impressive to Oliver; he can't seem to figure out how they make it work without magic. 

It's a cute movie and a cheesy love story. 92 minutes later, all 12 of us walk out of the theatre, some more impressed than others. 

"I can't believe we just sat through a kids movie," Clancy says. 

"Right, you could've used that time to write music and brood over the meaning of life," Dougal teases. 

"I liked it!" Ambria says. 

"It's bloody impressive that they can make pictures move without magic," Oliver shakes his head, his mind still blown. 

"He still can't comprehend it," I grin.

We walk past a park and see a bunch of kids sledding down one of the newly snowed on hills. 

Clancy watches them with interest. "Can we do that?" 

"You want to go sledding?" Candace asks, glancing at the kids. 

"That looks like fun," Oliver nods. 

"Let's go back home and see what I've got that we can sled on," Candace says. 

"Can we go to that steep hill right behind your house!?" I ask, getting excited. 

"Oh my God, yeah, that's a good hill," Penny nods. 

"I broke my wrist on that hill," Ambria says. 

"Yeah, why not," Candace grins. 

We get back to Candace's house and scramble around, searching for things we can use to sled on. A few minutes later, we're traipsing up the hill carrying 2 real sleds, a few cookie sheets, and a piece of cardboard that only Dougal was actually willing to use. 

The fun begins. Most of us are soaked and shivering within the first thirty minutes; we're all just in our coats and jeans. 

We stay out for a few hours, repeatedly climbing up the hill in order to sled back down. 

Ambria and Eleanor stop sledding after a few minutes and work on building a family of snowmen at the base of the hill. 

Oliver and I are racing each other on nearly every sled down the hill; determined to beat one another. We take a small intermission from racing to build an incline out of snow so we get launched into the air as we go down.  

The snow gets packed down as the day goes on, allowing us to go faster and faster. 

Eventually, people start going back inside to warm up. I can barely feel my fingers, but I'm having so much fun that going back in doesn't even seem like an option.
