CHAPTER - 51

I WOULD FOLLOW YOU TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH...

JUST TO WATCH THE SUNSET IN YOUR EYES.

You tried getting up with the support of the bench but I guess luck was not on your side after all... You tried not to scream in frustration as you fell and your legs completely gave out. 

Jack was worried out of his wits. He was in the middle of giving a lecture when his phone and special watch started beeping and buzzing, his students asked what was wrong as he stood there white as ghost, hands trembling as his eyes followed the spot indicating your position on the map.

Code red.

He didn't care anymore, he ripped his itchy wig off and pulled a makeup wipe out of his pocket and ran it over his face... his students would know his identity soon anyway. The kids stared, confused out of their minds on what was happening as Jack made calls to your security team, making sure they were aware of the situation. 

"Mr. Frost... what is happening?", one of the kids cried out just before he was about to leave the classroom.

"Family emergency! I'll call in a substitute."

Fact was, Jack didn't call in a substitute. He quickly explained the situation to the principal, hoping he'd take care of everything in his class and explain to the students why their 50 year old math teacher suddenly seemed like an undercover agent. Just as he was about to exit the building, he realized he must explain the situation to your other best-friend as well. Barging in his wife's classroom without thinking, Jack uncomfortably pulled out the padding from his stomach which was resisting his movements.

"Jack what's wrong?!", Jenny squealed seeing him panting and in a mess.

"This is not a drill Jen... Code red."

Jenny sprang up to her feet, the students didn't matter anymore. Top priority was to retrieve you back whatever it took. "Did you inform the parents?", Jenny asked, knowing not to say their actual names in front of an entire batch of teenage kids, especially one that included Elena Claire's  friends and boyfriend.

"Yes. I need you."

That's all that Jack had to say to get the woman running out the room with him, the staff and students made way to the bizarre sight in front of them. The principal would have quite an issue at hand but it was nothing compared to the crisis in Jenny's and Jack's heads'.

They practically threw themselves in one of the several security team vehicles parked in-front of the school, which sped off as soon as they closed the doors. 

"4 minutes since she pressed the button."

4 minutes. Jack was late. Informing Jenny about the situation was not a part of the plan they had laid out for a situation like this. He had acted on his feelings, every second mattered in a situation like this.

If something was to happen to Elena, Jack knew he was to blame.
