The rest of the week was not like I had imagined it to be. Since I was majoring in literature, I had expected it to be rather frantic, with attending lectures, completing assignments and hanging out with the lads but shit went down just fine.
I had two classes with Liam. He was good company and talked quite a lot. He and Zayn were a part of the university band. During boring classes, he talked fondly about Zayn. I did envy their relationship at times, given how perfect they seemed for each other. But it was good that they had found someone.
He usually blabbered about how beautiful Zayn was and I did agree with what he said. Zayn did look heavenly, with tattoos all over his body, giving that bad boy sort of look. Not that I was into bad boys, never.
Louis was well, Louis. He seemed better but continued ignoring me. But I didn't mind, because Niall was always there for me.
Thursday's session of creative writing was interesting. James was fantastic, his teaching methods being excellent. Although there was this one girl, who kept on staring at me throughout. She did seem nice, considering she helped me when I was a bit lost. We exchanged names.
...
Liam, Louis and Zayn came in a little after seven. It was the evening of the party. We played and got drunk, again played and got drunk. It was fun, and everyone was losing themselves in the moment. Louis was giggling like a child throughout. Who knew alcohol had that effect on him?!
After about an hour or two of fooling around, we all headed out.
This party where practically everyone was invited, was held in some student's house. We were all tipsy enough from our pre-gaming session, so it was much safer to walk.
The sound of thumping music heard from atleast a few hundred metres away, caught me off guard. To say I was nervous, was an understatement. I had never been a big party person, because I never really was a part of those popular groups which held all the parties. I was content with having a few friends. But since I was here, in a different city, taking my chance at new things, this was worth a shot.
The atmosphere was ecstatic. All of us entered the big house which was buzzing with people. Niall and I quickly merged with the large group that was dancing in the living room. Niall was like the perfect party guy. His social skills were brilliant and so was his alcohol tolerance. As the time went on, he kept on having other drinks but never failed to lose himself completely. I tried being as sober as possible, and decided upon having only one beer.
Soon I saw all the lads seated on the couch, infront of the television. Well everyone except Louis, who had seemed to vanish right from the beginning.
As I was going to sit with them, I was stopped by the same girl who had been staring at me during creative writing the other day.
"heyyyy Harry" she said, placing a hand on my shoulder. She sounded way too drunk.
"hi Olivia" I replied politely.
"do you feel like dancing?"
"not really love, sorry"
"whyy, oh c'mon we'll dance together!" she said seductively.
"nah, I'm too tired"
She asked me a dozen more times before finally accepting my response.
"alright. Your loss" she said, walking away from me. I saw this as my chance and bolted.Louis joined us a few minutes later and sat in the only empty space available, which was right next to me. We were talking about some football match taking place the following week. Apparently, Louis was a part of the soccer team and from what I could comprehend, he was quite an important part of it. He had a drink in his hand, probably vodka which he seemed to be finishing at a fast pace.
A football match was playing on the television. Louis was watching the game intently, giving his remarks every now and then. I was a soccer fan myself and he did seem to have a lot of knowledge on the subject. The match was between two local teams, the names of which were not registered by me due to my mildly drunk state.
