My alarm ringed. I opened my eyes. It was 8 a.m. and for my opinion way too early to get up. Especially on a Saturday.
The other students seemed to have the same opinion about this because not only in the bathroom but also in the Cafeteria I was nearly alone.
After breakfast I went to Jess for an hour, shortly to Charly after that and returned to my room. Then I waited. In half an hour the part of the day I was at least looking forward to would start. Out of boredom I started to clean up my room a bit but I tried to give not too much effort in it. Not that Harry could think that I cleaned up for him.
I wanted to get along with him so that we could live in peace next to each other (just because this would makes things a lot easier, and for my friends) but I didn't want him to think that I wanted to be friends with him.
Five minutes early Harry knocked on my door. It took me a second until I was ready to open. Even if we were cool now I still didn't like him. But I didn't want him to see that. We should work on our project and finish it as fast as possible, anything else didn't matter.
"Hi", Harry said.
Before he was able to start with stupid small talk I started to speak. "Come in, you can sit down on my desk, I have another chair. First we should choose the emotion we'll work with. James has emailed me a list that contains the emotions which have already been taken and the ones which are left. Though, I haven't looked into it yet."
Harry was visibly overwhelmed but I was fine with it. I was sure, now he knew that we would definitely only work on our project. Completely professional.
"Erm, okay", he started to answer while sitting down on his chair, "We can look at the list first."
I sat down next to him. "Great. Is it okay for you to write everything for our project on my computer? I could e-mail you the current texts if you like, so you have it on yours too."
"Yeah, sure. Sounds like a plan."
I opened the list. "Let's see what's still left."
"Happiness, sadness, jealousy, love and anger are already taken. Do you have any ideas?"
"Confusion", I said. Why I was so quick? And where did this idea come from? I didn't want to think about it. I just hoped Harry wouldn't come to the idea that it could be something personal. Everything professional.
"This is actually a pretty great idea." Harry sounded surprised as if he hadn't expected that I could bring up something good. But he was kind of right. Normally I wasn't good in things like these.
I stopped my thoughts and tried to think of the next step. "Okay, confusion then. Would you mind if we read a little bit about flash fiction before we give it a first try?"
"No, of course not", Harry said, "James explained it but to be honest I didn't write it down and I don't wanna do anything wrong."
We did like I said and started pretty fast with the first text after that. First, we kept the definition of flash fiction as an open tab on the computer.
"Flash fiction is a fictional work of extreme brevity that still offers character and plot development. Its average word count ranges anywhere from five to 1,000 words, 2,000 words should not be exceeded. Despite this shortness Flash fiction include the elements of a classical short story, but the focus can be sett freely."
After a while we didn't need it anymore.
Working with Harry was ... quite ... good. Creative writing was definitely the right choice for him. When he formed a sentence, it was not only words strung together but art.
I wrote, but the ideas and wording were absolutely equal. Some times Harry couldn't do the movement James told us to use, but I think I did a quite good job in this. We complemented each other pretty good. Only for the assignment of course.
That was good because that's why the time ran kind of fast and the afternoon came even earlier than he thought.
"I think we should stop for today. I am actually very hungry. Do you wanna come grab some food?", Harry asked.
I hadn't realized that Harry just asked me if we could eat together. Just the two of us. Afterwards I thought of it and it wasn't possible for me to understand it in any way. But despite this I just wasn't hungry.
"No, I'm fine. Should we continue to work tomorrow?"
"Yeah, but I only have time after two or three p.m.."
"That's fine. See you."
I checked my phone to let Harry know that I really didn't want to have a long goodbye.
He seemed to understand it because he just said "see ya" and left.
I let the air escape through my lungs slowly. Before my thoughts could start going crazy, I called Niall.
"Hey Lad, wanna play football?"
"Yeah, sure."

Hi Luvs <3
Sorry for that long break, Ausi and I both had pretty hard exams and not much time. Now I am done with school (partyyy) but I still am quite busy, that's why this chapter is so short. I hope you enjoy reading our story anyway.
I hope you have a great day,
I love you!
Lu
