"You both are dating?", Lily's eyes went wide.

"Uh", James looked at Athena, giving her the chance to refuse from his proposition. Athena had been crushing over this boy for ages and she couldn't for the love of her life refuse his puppy eyes.

"Yes!" Athena exclaimed, hearing a sigh of relief from James and a shriek from Lily.

"I am so sorry, Lily!", Athena left the comfort of James arms to place her hands on Lily's shoulder, "This just... it happened out of no where, really. We never meant to hurt you. Please, don't be angry."

Lily's eyes teared up causing Athena's to tear up as well. Athena sucked in a breath and went on, "Honestly, hell to this. This is too cruel, James. I can't. Lily, I swear on Merlin, there is nothing between up. He lied and I went along with it. I didn't realize this would hurt you this much. You are an absolute sweetheart, you don't deserve this."

"There is no point in lying now, Athena. I won't tell anyone. Keep your little secret and facade to yourselves." Lily yelled, taking herself out.

Athena sat down in shock, with James quietly following her lead.

"I am sorry, Athena. I mean, you decided to say yes." Athena glared at James. "This is my fault. I apologize."

"Ah, she is so sweet. Extra, sometimes but she doesn't deserve this."

"I have been trying to get her to back off for so long. She is a nice girl but not for me. Thank you for your help."

"Your welcome, I guess but... she was really hurt. She will definitely tell her friends."

"Hey, can we continue to do this?" James mumbled. Athena's heart had actually stopped, she felt her mind go blank, while James continued, "I mean, fake this relationship. I really want to enjoy my last year with the boys. A lot of girls have been bothering me, I mean who wouldn't fall for this face but I don't want a relationship that probably won't last long."

"How will we even go about it, if we decide to do this?" Athena placed her hand on her head.

"We can just tell everyone we are dating and meet up once a while. Hang around each other. All of our friends are dating as well. I am great company, you will not be bored."

"I can't really lie." Athena bit her lip, "like, with Lily right now. If I even try to lie, I always tell the truth very soon."

"It's not a full lie, is it? We will be in a relationship. Just a fake one.", James folded his arms, "We can be great friends!"

Athena sighed. Her head spinning with thoughts. This would be her only time to hang out with her school crush before they never meet again. Her friends had their own love lives, she could have a fake one.

So, Athena answered with the first thought in mind, "Okay."

"Okay?"

"Let's do this." Athena smiled widely for the first time since their encounter and James breath hitched for a second. He brushed it off but that feeling lingered.

"How will we tell our friends? I have never really kept a secret from them, ever. They will freak out. Yours too, I think?" Athena suppressed the butterflies in her stomach as she coolly questioned.

"It can't be that bad, can it?"
