Athena had not expected her friends to start histerically laughing when she told them she was dating James Potter.

"Why are you guys laughing?", Athena questioned huddling her eyebrows together.

"It must be a joke! You are pranking us." Elyse said between her laughs.

"The guy you would never approach because you were so nervous around him is the guy you are dating?" Amber retorted.

"I am. I told you guys I was over him, that he didn't make me nervous anymore." Athena reasoned.

"Thea. Thea. Thea." Kimberley crossed her arms as she spoke, "Fine, let's believe you guys are dating. How? When? Why?"

Athena groaned as she heard her smartest friend gear up with investigative skills. She was grateful that James had already come up with the basic story.

"Remember three weeks ago, I went to Tomes and Scrolls, I bumped into James there. He was running from Lily and asked me to hide him so I took him up on the stairs. Then we talked and talked, he decided to ask me on a date and I said yes." Athena explained.

"Tomes and Scrolls? Mr. Kirigan never allows people to stay in his shop for longer than 10 minutes, especially no chitter chatter." Kimberley raised her left eyebrow.

"Why didn't you tell us about the date? It's been three weeks." Elyse huffed angrily.

"Mr. Kirigan is a sweetheart, he loves me. You guys wouldn't have believed me and I wanted to see if James and I really end up working together." Athena elaborated.

"I still don't buy this but okay." Kimberley closed her eyes and heaved a sigh.

"Me too, you seem... a bit weird." Elyse muttered.

"Stop it both of you! Thea, I am so happy for you! Next time you go on a date, you HAVE to tell me, okay?" Amber exclaimed as she grabbed Athena in a hug.

"Angel!", James shouted across the hallway.

Athena, who had been walking alone ahead and reading a new book she had actually purchased from Tomes and Scrolls three weeks ago, paid no mind to the voices around her. James chased through the crowd of people in the hall way towards Athena, alerting everyone of his sudden interest in her.

People's voices become a murmur as they started wondering the relationship status of the two people who had never interacted before.

"Angel!", James exclaimed grabbing Athena by her shoulders, however his voice was cut short when a punch came straight to his face.

"AAH", James screeched with pain as he grabbed his face with his hand.

"Merlin, James! Are you okay? I got scared and..." Athena's face scrunched with worry, "Let me see..."

Athena slowly removed James hand to see his face, a very small bruise forming on his cheek. She grabbed her wand, muttered a spell and waited for his face to be clear again.

"It's better now. Does it still hurt?" Athena placed her wand back as she examined James face.

"A bit. Well, I am glad no one can harm my girlfriend because she fights like anything." James smiled.

"My girlfriend? And are you really okay? Do we have to go to Madam Pomfrey?" Athena's face still filled with worry.

"Relax, I am very strong." James winked grabbing Athena's hand, "Real or fake, we are in a relationship so you are technically my girlfriend."

Athena whose ear were probably redder than James robes after his touch, swallowed and said, "Did you tell the guys?"

"I did! They were shocked but they are happy for me. Wor-Peter is especially happy that all the Marauders are in a relationship." James explained as he dragged Athena towards the grounds, "How did your girls react?"

"Don't ask. Only Amber believes me, Elyse and Kim are not even an inch close to believing me! I tried a lot and told them the story we made up but they are adamant." Athena sighed as they both settled on a bench and James left her hand. Her hand missing the touch she got to know of only mere minutes ago.

"Ah, we will just have to convince them! But where did you learn how to fight like that and you know spells to heal as well?" James asked intrigued.

"My brother trained me for protection, and I want to be a healer after school. I study a bit." Athena spilled, her head turned away from James, staring at the lake ahead.

"I want to be a professional quidditch player, one day. Or an auror. Either works." James sighed, closing his eyes.

"Do you..." Athena took a deep breath, causing James to open his eyes back "Are you sure about this? We might become friends but we are lying to so many people that we love."

James stared at the beautiful face, eyes the color of sky and cheeks tinted with red as the cold grew around them. He very quietly mumbled, "It doesn't have to be fake."

"Did you say something?" Athena questioned, clearly not hearing a word.

"Nah. Let's just continue with what we thought to do. We can deal with things when they come." James smiled.

"That is such a Gryffindor answer. It's my fault for agreeing in the first place." Athena looked down at her watch. "Merlin! I have Professor McGonagall's class!"

Athena got up to run as James shouted behind her, "Bye, Angel!"

In reply, he saw a back wave of Athena's left hand.
