Max POV:

Who was she? I had seen her somewhere before but couldn’t remember it and this was doing my head in. I was pacing around my room, fighting with my brain to come up with any memory related to Elisa. Suddenly someone grabbed my shoulder and I turned around to see Tom looking at me with a concerned gaze.

“What are you thinking Max? Tell me, I might be able to help you.” Tom asked while sitting down on my bed.

I wasn’t able to come up with an answer so I just shrugged and plopped down on the bed next to him. I was staring at the ceiling when Tom spoke again. “Speak up already.”

“I just don’t know. Can you tell me a little bit about that girl Elisa?” I replied. Tom started laughing when realized what –or who- was the source of my confusion, and I glared at him with anger bubbling inside me.

“Stop laughing Tom or I’ll just kick you out.” I barked and Tom shut up instantly.

“Sorry Max and my advice to you is to stop thinking about El coz she isn’t your type. She is a hell lot more mature and doesn’t go after boys like other girls that drool over you. So don’t bother wasting your time on her.”

I waited for a while to process that but it didn’t click with me at all. I wanted information, not advice. And since when was Tom such an expert on my type?

“You know I didn’t mean it like that. After meeting her, I just feel like I’ve met her before but I can’t remember where so I was just asking you. Out of curiosity only.” I replied while searching Tom for a reaction, which was a shrug and continued texting.

I didn’t know why I was wasting my time thinking about a girl who I just met for a few minutes but no matter how hard I tried to forget her, I couldn’t do it. I was still thinking about her when Tom asked me another question, a smirk on his face.

“And why did you laugh when she said hello?”

I couldn’t stop the smile that appeared on my face when I recalled why I laughed but I kept quiet and closed my eyes to stop any further interrogation. Closing my eyes brought back the memory of her standing there blushing when I caught her looking at me. She looked so cute. I had the weird urge to make her blush again – UGH! Why was I having such weird thought about someone I just met?

Irritated with my over thinking brain I decided a good night’s sleep was what I needed to forget that girl. After all I’d only met her for a few short moments right how hard would forgetting her be?

Kicking Tom out of the room, I fell face first into my bed, suddenly realizing how tired I was. Keeping my thoughts firmly away from a certain blushing girl I fell into a deep sleep.
