I opened my eyes revealing a plain white ceiling and roll over, only to discover Dan's leg lay on top of mine and his arm was wrapped around my chest. He laid beside me, still asleep. The light from the window made him look soft and cozy. His hair had returned to it's curly, original self and his eyes were highlighted by the eyeliner he failed to wash off last night. I stroked his hair as softly as I could and his eyelids fluttered open.
"Hey." Even his voice was soft and cozy in the morning. I felt my heart melt in my chest.
"Hi." We stared at each other for a short moment.
"You are a literal vision of perfection." He said warmly, yet somehow bluntly.
"That was extremely poetic."
"That's me; poetic af."
"Stupid abbreviations."
"Poetic as fuck." He repeated and smiled. Someone knocked on his door.
"You up?" Phil called.
"Awake but not up."
"'Kay." I heard Phil's footsteps as he walked away from the door. Dan flipped over onto his back. I had forgotten that Phil would be here and worried for a brief moment about how awkward that would be.
"I'm gonna go get something to eat. Are you hungry?" I nodded. Dan got up and walked out the door. I reached over to see if Dan put my phone on the bedside table to check the time, but it wasn't there. "Lil?" Dan called.
"Lillian's here?" Phil asked, surprised. I slid off the bed and out of the room. Phil stood at the other end of the hallway holding a bowl of cereal in one hand and a spoon in the other. His eyes widened once he saw me and I became very aware of what I was wearing. "Wait..."He turned to Dan, in the kitchen, then back to me. "Did you guys...?"
"Gosh, No" I said quickly then heard Dan mutter something from around the corner. Phil exhaled like all the weight in the world had been taken off his shoulders.
"Nice shirt, by the way." He nodded toward's Dans purple and blue galaxy shirt that had replaced my costume from the night before.
I opened my mouth to reply but Dan cut it, "Thank you, Phil.". I hopped over to the kitchen, peeking my head around the corner to glare at Dan. He bobbed his head smugly and I stuck out my tongue.
"You guys are such flirts." Phil rolled his eyes and walked over to the stool by the counter and begun to eat his breakfast.
"Cereal or toast?" I walk over to Dan and he opens to cupboard to reveal his selection of cereals. I stretch onto my tippy toes and reach up to grab the Cheerios. Dan simply grabs the box and puts it on the counter in front of me. "You're welcome."
"Jerk."
"Ha." He kissed me gently before walking to fridge to get milk.

Before leaving Dan lent me an old pair of jeans that, believe it or not fit me surprisingly well, ignoring the fact that they were a couple inches too long. I put my costume in a bag and my found phone in my pocket.

I arrived at my flat at quarter to 12, just in time to see Tony waiting at my door. We had arranged to meet at my place to work on our English oral presentation. We had to choose a poem or short story written by Edgar Allen Poe and talk about how that specific text reflects some of Poe's personality and background.
"Did you stay at Dan's last night?" Tony asked with a smirk, judging from my outfit. I blushed.
"Yes, but it's not what you're probably thinking."
"Aw, really?"
"We were tired from the party. Plus I don't think I'm ready for it anyway."
"Have you talked about it with him?" She pushed her purple curtain of hair behind her ear.
"No." I unlock my door and walk in. Tony dumps her backpack on the dining room table. "I just hope he'll respect that."
"I'm sure he will. He doesn't seem like the kind of person do take advantage of people. Also, from what Mina told me, he really loves you." I smiled to myself.
"I'm glad you think so." We settled down at the table and got to work.

After Halloween night, I felt like I couldn't get enough time with Dan. I would lay in bed trying to sleep and I could just hear him tell me he loves me. I would imagine his perfect eyes and beautiful lips. I just wanted to be with him all the time but sometimes it felt as through school and work wanted to separate us. Sometimes it was a few days before we saw each other again and each day without him felt like a part of me was melting away.
I was in the shower when Dan arrived at my place. We had plans to meet for lunch so I quickly dried off and got dressed. He was seated at the piano, looking at the keys as his fingers bounced and jumped. The song was upbeat, like most of Beethoven's finest pieces, and flowed easily through the flat. I sat down on the bench beside him, listening to the music as the song came to an end.
"I missed you." I rested my head on his shoulder.
"I saw you 2 days ago."
"I know." I blushed, Dan leaned over and kissed my forehead.
"I missed you, too." The rain, I hadn't noticed before, ran down the windows quietly. "What are doing this Christmas?" Dan asked, out of nowhere.
"I...don't know. To be honest, I hadn't thought about it yet. Although I thing my parents want me to go home for a week or two." Dan nodded. "Why do you asked?"
"My mum want you to come to Wokingham for Christmas or New Years to meet the family."
"Really?" I said grinning, kinda wanting to meet his family.
"Feel free to say no." Dan looked pleadingly at me and I laughed.
"No it could be fun!" He groaned. "I'll figure out what's happening with my parents." Dan sulked beside me on the bench. "Aw poor baby." I kissed him and he kissed me back pulling me onto his lap.
