I only had 2 days before I left England because I was going to Canada for a week and a half during Christmas break and then, a few days later, going with Dan to his parents' house for New Years.
I explained my plan to Dan who whined about me leaving for 10 days.
"10 whole days? You're going to leave me here alone for 10 entire days?"
"You survived for like 2 years before me. You'll do fine."
"I only survived because I didn't know what the alternative was." I smiled. "But now you're going to abandon me, by flying 7000 kilometres away! Plus, Phil's not getting back for another day." He had gone to his family's house before Christmas but decided to stay in London with Dan.
"You'll be fine." I kissed his forehead as I stood up to leave. "I've got to go meet everyone at the bar." Dan jumped up from his seat in the café.
"Wait! Am I going to see you again before the flight?"
"Maybe tomorrow."
"Can come you to my place? I have to give you something
"Oooooh, exciting. " I gushed, then kissed him again before exiting the café.

Tony picked me up at my house and we left to meet the group at a bar just to regroup before we all leave our separate ways before the holidays. When I arrived back at my flat, later then I had expected, I was surprised to see my door unlocked. Suspiciously, I opened the door open and flicked on the lights. Dan sat, asleep at the dining room table leaning his head on his arms which acted as a pillow. His eyes flew open when I screamed out in shock. Dan jumped back and the chair flew out from under him, crashing into the floor. He swore loudly.
"What are you doing here?" I asked breathlessly, still recovering from the shock.
"Uh..." He fidgeted with his hair and straightened his back making him look even taller then normal. "My house is so quiet and weird." He said quietly.
I smirked, "Were you scared?"
"No!" He scoffed, shifting his weight awkwardly. I raised my eyebrows, challenging him. "Ugh, you're the worst." I grinned at my accomplishment and gave him a quick kiss.
"You can stay here if you want."
"Really?" His eyes lit up like a child in a candy store, making me laugh. "I mean-" he straightened his posture, "-I would like that, thank you."
I fixed myself a small snack and went to my room. Dan sat on my bed awkwardly, not knowing what to do. For a second I debated whether I should change in the washroom or not. He took out his phone and I took the opportunity to change super quickly, thinking maybe he wouldn't notice. I grabbed my flannel shorts and the Tshirt I had been sleeping in lately and quickly slid my shirt of. I glanced at Dan on my bed. His eyes were on me, taking in every little detail. I inhaled sharply just as he noticed that I saw him watching me. He blushed and looked away. I finished changing quickly, hoping that the feeling of him watching me the whole time was just me being paranoid. I walked to the washroom and closed the door behind me. Calm down, I told myself as I brushed my hair out and pulled it into a bun.
Dan stood in my doorway when I exited the washroom.
"Merry Christmas, Lil." I laughed.
"There's still, like, a week until Christmas."
"I know, but we won't see each other." He stepped closer, leaning his forehead on mine. "Nice shirt by the way." I looked down to see what I was wearing and of course it was Dan's Tshirt. I blushed.
"Oh my gosh, do you want it back?" I took a step back and started taking it off.
"However much I want you to take your shirt off, I want you to keep the shirt more." I dropped the shirt, leaving it to hang comfortably over my hips and gave him a disappointed look.
"I don't know if I should be annoyed at your immaturity or thankful for your honesty." He laughed and wrapped his arms around me, guiding me to my bed. After I squirmed under the blankets he walked to the other side and wiggled out of his jeans, sliding into the bed wearing just a shirt and boxers. I rolled over to look at him. His hair was starting to curl and returning to it's original, hobbit state. We wrapped our arms around each other. Melding together, as if it were meant to be, and I fell asleep with his arms around me.

My mental clock woke me up at 7:30 and I slid out of my bed, careful not to wake up Dan who lay fast asleep beside me. He must have gotten hot in the middle of the night because his shirt was balled up on the ground beside the bed. I slipped off my shorts and replaced them with a pair of jeans. I grabbed a bra from my closet, quickly took off the sports bra I had slept in and looped my arms through the straps. I heard movement behind me and froze. Oh crap, is he behind me? Is he watching me? How long has he been awake? I bit my lip and reached behind me, fastening my bra. I missed the loop and grimaced. I hated this. Suddenly I felt warm hands against my back. My hands fell to my side. His fingers grazed my bare back and tugged at my bra, clipping it together, leaving it snug and comfortable. I felt his breath on my neck and I shivered. Dan noticed and paused pulling me close to him. My bare back against his bare chest.
"Morning." Dan whispered into my neck. I turned, still in his arms and kissed his cheek, then his mouth. His hands rested on my waist and pulled me closer, kissing me back. I felt my heart flutter and I pushed myself closer to him knowing that we were as close as we could physically get, but I wanted to be closer. His fingers looped around my belt loops and he guided me to the bed, his lips still on mine. Unintentionally, Dan hit the bad and fell on it, with me on top of him.
"Fuck." He muttered at the same time as I squeaked with surprise. He laughed and in return, I kissed his neck and created a series of kisses to his collarbone and then back up to his cheek. A little moan escaped from his mouth making me giggle. He rolled me over and flung his left leg over me, leaving him lying on top of me. Dan's tongue grazed my lips as we kissed. I thought about how dumb we must look. A tall, 23-year-old male wearing nothing but black boxers, lying on top a blond girl in skinny jeans and a blue bra. The image in my head made me laugh. Dan stopped and gave me a quizzical look. I shook my head telling him it was nothing but I had already killed the mood. He rolled over, lying beside me.
"When do you leave tomorrow?" The question surprised me. I had forgotten about the flight and the leaving-Dan-in-London. My smile faded.
"7 am but I should be there at least at 6." He sighed.
"Why must you go?" I rolled over to look at him, which meant nearly lying on top of him.
"You know why. I have family to see and friends to meet and a boyfriend to miss." Dan's eyes glimmered when I called him my boyfriend. I smirked. "I guess, I'll miss you as well." He looked so hurt and confused, I had to laugh. "I'm kidding."
"Good. I was thinking I was going to have to beat someone to oblivion; although, realistically, I'd be better at killing them at Halo." I laughed.
"You'd definitely win if it was Phil."
Dan gasped, "Phil? He's like 65 years older than you!"
"How old do you think he is?"
"85." I laughed.
"Obviously."

I woke up the next day to my doorbell. Dan had hung out at my house for nearly the whole day until it was time to film his live show. I slid out of bed and walked through my dark house to get the door.
"Good morning, lovely." Dan walked in and handed me a Starbucks coffee. I squeezed my eyes shut, trying to wake up.
"What time is it?" I mumble and collapse on the chair in the living room.
"5:28." Dan smiles.
"What?-how did-" I was interrupted by a huge yawn.
"I'm taking you to the airport. Where's your stuff?" He lugged my suitcase out if the bedroom and I got dressed, still half asleep and in disbelief at his perky attitude so early in the morning. We called a cab and drove to the airport in silence. By the time we arrived I was fully awake but not ready to leave him.
"You goin' out?" The taxi driver asked. Dan reached for my hand and a minute later the cab driver gave an exasperated sigh. Dan grabbed my suitcase from the trunk and I hauled my tote bag over my shoulder.
After I picked up my ticket I stood outside of customs, not yet ready to enter. There was still 45 minutes until they starting calling people aboard and I knew I had to leave. I turned around to see Dan staring at me, memorizing every inch of my face and hair. I stepped towards him and kissed him gracefully. He wrapped his arms around my waist pulling me close causing my suitcase to tumble over and my bag to fall of my shoulder. I twirled his hair around my fingers. Remembering we were in a public facility, I stopped and picked up my bag again.
"See in 10 days, Daniel James Howell."
"Enjoy your time in Canada, Lillian Fern McEvans." He corrected the damage I had done to his fringe and gave me a quick nod. Just before I turned to walk away, Dan grabbed my hand and pulled me towards me giving me one last kiss. My bag fell on the ground, my headphones and my book hit the floor.
"I love you." He whispered in my ear before pulling away. I stared at him as he walked away. Before exiting the building, he turned to look at me. Even from 20 meters away I could see tears glistening in his eyes. My vision fogged and he soon became a blur. It's only 10 days.
