Life; From Childhood To Reality

They kill you from the inside out,
the thoughts that you dread;
They've figured it out.
Your insecurities,
are all out of whack.
Your confidence,
you feel you can't get back.
When you were a child,
You thought it was hard.
Now, you're an adult,
wishing to go back to the start.

When skinned knees,
were the only pain.
The raindrops were only rain.
When over crayons,
were the only fights.
Instead of crying ourselves
to sleep everynight.
The golden days,
when you thought
nothing was wrong.
Like how you were blinded,
from the bad words in a song.

You never thought
your parents were fighting.
We were always outside;
Not even scared of lightning.

It's like we were hidden
from the sorrows of the world.
Just to enjoy life, as we were;
A little boy, a little girl.
